Coinciding with National Education Day which is on May 2, 2019, Medical Faculty of Udayana University held a Memorial Lecture of Prof. dr. I Goesti Regional Gde Ngoerah, a figure who has a big role in building Medical Faculty of Udayana University. This event was held in 4th floor of A.A Made Djelantik room, Medical Faculty, Udayana University.
Memorial Lecture Prof.Lecture dr. I Goesti Ngoerah Gde Ngoerah was opened directly by, Vice Chancellor for Academic, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Nyoman Gde Antara, M. Eng. The event invited the professors of Medical Faculty, Udayana University, both those who were retired and still on duty. The event was also attended by families as representatives of professors who had passed away or were unable to attend.
On this occasion, Prof. dr. I Goesti Ngoerah Gde Ngoerah is represented by his wife, I Goesti Ayu Oka Arwati. Not only remembering the figure of Prof. dr. I Goesti Ngoerah Gde Ngoerah, the event was also intended to commemorate the professors of Medical Faculty at Udayana University, so that the younger generations of Medical Faculty of Udayana University knew who had contributed to the development of Medical Faculty to this date.
"This is one form of respecting our teachers who had served and developed education in Medical Faculty of Udayana University," said Dr. dr. I Ketut Suyasa, Sp.B, Sp.OT (K). For Dr. I Ketut Suyasa, in commemorating the services of Prof. dr. I Goesti Ngoerah Gde Ngoerah as a founding father of Medical Faculty at Udayana University, this activity is also to provide understanding to younger generation of FK Unud, that good communication between generations cannot be interrupted.
Dr. dr. I Ketut Suyasa also had time to reveal, the figure of Prof. dr. I Goesti is Gde Regional in his eyes. For Dr. Ketut Suyasa, besides being a teacher, Prof. dr. I Goesti Ngoerah Gde Ngoerah also had a fatherly nature that encourage its students to keep moving and excel. "Not only in teaching and learning process, he also taught us directly how to conduct patient examinations. How to behave, communicate with patients, colleagues and teachers," said Dr. I Ketut Suyasa.
This program also featured the diorama video of Prof. dr. I Goesti Gde Ngoerah Regional who invited the audience to trace the traces of life and his services. Prof. dr. I Goesti Ngoerah Gde Ngoerah is a Fighter Doctor for: Prapatan 10 Community and pioneered the midwifery section which became the forerunner of Sanglah Hospital. Besides having the ability in the field of medicine, Prof. dr. I Goesti Ngoerah Gde Ngoerah is also a Denpasar painting artist with his famous painting "Sutasoma Gajah Waktra".
Besides playing diorama video, Medical Faculty of Udayana University also featured In Memorial video, to memorize the professors who had passed away. Then, FK Unud also gave souvenirs to all professors at Unud FK or families who represented, as a sign of respect for their services.
Deputy Chancellor for Academic Prof. Dr. Ir. I Nyoman Gde Antara, M. Eng revealed, he greatly appreciated this activity. In addition to establishing the relationship, this activity can also support the development of institutions. "Now, we are in Udayana who are doing the task of the directorate can get advice, input, which may be missed by our attention," said Prof. I Nyoman Gde Antara.
