INTEREST IN THE PROFESSION OF ROTHSCHILDI: FKH UDAYANA UNIVERSITY SUCCESSFULLY HELD THE INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP

Denpasar – Wednesday (04/07), Rothchildi's Professional Interest (Minpro) Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University which has a focus on learning wildlife, has successfully held an international workshop. The workshop themed "Avian and Reptile Medicin General Lecture and Workshop" was held in two consecutive days, namely on June 30th and July 1st. The successful activity held in the Meeting Room of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University, Sudirman Campus, was attended by around 80 participants from academics and professionals. In Minpro Rothchildi activities this time, it was lead by Zephaniah Christiani who is a student of Faculty of Veterinary Medicine from the 2016 generation

 
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Atmosphere of Workshop Series

In this series of workshops organized by Minpro Rothchildi, there are four resource persons who have expertise in handling wild animals. On the first day of the workshop, there were two speakers who gave the material to the participants. The two speakers were Drh. Puventhan Ngappan Govendan who provides material on topics about the Brief Introduction of Herpetology and the second speaker, Prof. Zdenek Knotek, DVM, Ph.D, Dip ECZM who explained the topic of Infectious Diseases in Reptiles and Birds and Anesthesia and Surgery in Reptiles and Birds.

On the second day of the workshop, also filled with two sources that are not less interesting with the speakers on the first day. The first resource person on the second day was Drh. Slamet Raharjo MP who gave material on the topic of Treatments in Reptiles and Treatments in Birds. And the second speaker, Dr. Zora Knotkova, DVM, Ph.D who provides material on the topic of Clinical Haematology in Reptiles and Birds.

When conducting an interview with the chief of the organizing committee, it was explained that the workshop is aimed at vets and prospective veterinarians who have an interest in the field of exotic animals in order to deepen the knowledge it possesses. In addition, the committee also hopes that with this activity the interest of prospective Udayana University veterinarians in studying exotic animals will also increase. (pratama)
