Udayana Science Club Invites the Young Generation to Love Indonesian and Cross Country Films
Film Screening is opened by the Performance of Music STIKOM Bali Community
Student activity in working program is not only in internal campus, but also external. One of the student activity units such as Udayana Science Club (USC) held film screening which collaborates with Bentara Budaya Bali. The working program of USC is held two days, on January 30-31, 2017.
The theme of this activity is Humanism Cross Country. It is because in this activity, there is not only Indonesian Film, but also Cross Culture Film. This activity is held at Jl. Prof. Ida Bagus Mantra No. 88A, Ketewel, Gianyar, Bali. Furthermore, it is started from 6pm until 8.20pm in two days.
USC is the student activity in Unud which has held film screening every month since 2011. The participants who join this activity come from some universities in Denpasar, such as Udayana University, STIKOM Bali, STIMIK Primakara, STD Bali, UNDIKNAS, etc.
“It is aimed at the young generations that they must care to the Indonesian and foreign films as well as we can talk many things such as psychology, humanism, love, etc.” Vanesa Martida as the coordinator of this activity stated.
Furthermore, she added that through film, the young generations are taught to reflect and think logically because thinking is not only by reading or writing, but also through film.
The films are The Intouchables which is supported by the France Cultural Center, PK which is supported by Indian Culture Centre Bali, Blue Eyed Boy which is supported by Simiya Film, and Untold Stories as well as Doctor Zhivago which are supported by Italian Honorary Consulate in Denpasar.
Besides, there are many stands in the Bentara Budaya Bali area, such as books, food, and clothes. There is also entertainment from Music STIKOM Bali Community which presents in the opening of film screening. (manik)
