Petani Muda Keren P4S Mimba Farm Releases Unud FTP Students who have completed MBKM Internship Program Period I 2022

Students of the Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Udayana University (FTP Unud) carry out the MBKM (Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka) internship program in synergy with the Mimba Farm Self-Help Agricultural and Rural Training Center (P4S).

 

The MBKM internship is a breakthrough from a program designed by the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, which aims to encourage students to master various sciences to prepare them to enter the world of work. The MBKM Internship Program has several options, namely internships organized by the Higher Education and internships organized by the University. The MBKM FTP internship at Udayana University lasts for 1 semester which is recognized as equivalent to 20 credits.

 

Discussion and Evaluation Activities for the End of the Student MBKM Internship and the release of the FTP Unud MBKM internship at P4S PMK Mimba Farm were held on Sunday, April 17, 2022. The Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Prof. Ir. I Made Anom Sutrisna Wijaya, M.App.Sc.,Ph.D., along with Professor of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology Prof. Ir. I Made Supartha Utama, M.S., Ph.D. and the lecturers of the Agricultural and Biosystem Engineering Study Program were also present. Chairman of the Petani Muda Keren (PMK) A.A. Gede Agung Wedhatama and Chairman of P4S Mimba Farm I Wayan Mudita were also present as hosts.

 

One of the activities carried out at P4S PMK Neem Farm is cultivating with a hydroponic system up to post-harvest and product marketing. Students who do Internship programs are also indirectly taught to train themselves in coming up with creative ideas and have responsibilities as provisions in exploring the world of work.

 

Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology Prof. Ir. I Made Anom Sutrisna Wijaya, M.App.Sc.,Ph.D explained that the purpose of this program is to create and encourage students to have broad knowledge and abilities so that they are ready to enter the world of work. In addition, this program is also beneficial for students because they get opportunities and learning experiences outside the study program and students can choose the industrial sector according to their interests and talents. This MBKM internship has a positive impact on students where students are encouraged to have creative, innovative and critical thinking in their work, especially in the application of agricultural technology in the agricultural sector.
