Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Udayana Participated in the activity of Cultivating Superior Forage Animal Feed by the Bali Agricultural Technology Study Center, Badung District Agriculture and Food Service Department at the UPTD Bali C
Friday (08/04/2022) at 08.00 WITA, a Cultivating Superior Forage Animal Feed was carried out at the Bali Cattle Breeding UPTD, Sobangan, Mengwi District, Badung Regency. This activity was carried out by the Bali Agricultural Technology Study Center (BATSC) in collaboration with the Badung District Agriculture and Food Service Department which was attended by students of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FVM) and the Faculty of Animal Husbandry (FAH) of Udayana University. Students from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Udayana University who joined consisted of Veterinary Professional Education Students (VPE), Student Executive Board (SEB), Student Representative Council (SRC) and Student Press Institute (SPI) "Suara Satwa" FVM Udayana University (UNUD).
The activity began with a speech from the Head of the Department of Agriculture and Food and continued with some explanations regarding superior forage animal feed. It was explained that the selection of grass planted today is superior animal feed. Because it has more protein content than elephant grass. Then it was followed by planting superior forage for livestock, including Mexican grass, Pakcong, Biograss, and Sansibar by all attendees. After the event was over, it ended with a group photo and the distribution of snacks for attendees.
The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University strongly supports the planting of Superior Green Feed at the UPTD Sobangan Bali Cattle Breeding. The Sobangan Bali Cattle Breeding UPTD is one of the Clinical Place for FVM UNUD students, both Professional Program students, especially Veterinary Reproduction Station and Veterinary Medicine Bachelor Program. "This cooperative relationship has existed for a long time and we hope that this cooperation can continue to make a good contribution to both parties," said Dr. drh. I Wayan Sudira, M.Si as Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Cooperation of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University.
