Prospective Young Pharmacist Ambitions to Increase Drug Awareness in Gianyar
Bali, Indonesia - January 26 2024, Dewa Gede Indra, a Bachelor of Pharmacy graduate from Bali International University, expressed his impressions after taking a series of exams and interviews for the Pharmacist Professional Study Program (PSPA) at Udayana University. Dewa, who comes from Tampak Siring, Gianyar, chose to continue his studies at Udayana University which is recognized as the only university in Bali that provides a professional pharmacist program with superior accreditation.
In a recent interview, Dewa shared his experience, "I felt comfortable during the selection process because the facilities provided were very supportive. The room used for the exam was very conducive, cool, and allowed me to focus completely during the exam. Plus, the lecturers who interviewed seemed friendly And well, it makes the atmosphere less tense."
Dewa also said that the questions given in the exam were easy because of thorough preparation, but he admitted that the challenge lay in formulating the right answers.
Furthermore, Dewa expressed his motivation in choosing the profession of pharmacist, "I was inspired to bring positive change to my hometown in Gianyar, where there are still many medicines sold in stalls without adequate explanation to the public. I want to ensure that people know the side effects and functions the medications they are taking, as well as how the combination of medications may affect their health."
Dewa's ambition is not only to complete his professional pharmacist education, but also to increase awareness and education about the correct use of medicines in his village. Meanwhile, Ni Made Cendani Dwi Laksmi, who is also a 2021 Bachelor of Pharmacy alumnus from Bali International University, expressed her impressions and messages after taking a series of exams for the Pharmacist Professional Study Program (PSPA) at Udayana University (UNUD). Cendani described the exam process as a combination of challenge and comfort, where the room conditions and spacious campus environment provide a conducive atmosphere for taking exams.
Voicing her hopes, Cendani is determined to become a responsible pharmacist, not only in hospitals and pharmacies but also as a mentor for her professional colleagues and co-workers. "I want to be an example and leader in this field, bringing positive change in my career," said Cendani.
