I, Gede Bagus Dananjaya, won second place in the national essay competition at the EFW Glorious Decade Undiknas University.

Denpasar, Press Bureau of BEM FEB Unud: Gede Bagus Dananjaya, an active student of the Accounting Undergraduate Study Program class of 2021, Faculty of Economics and Business, Udayana University, who is often called Dana, managed to make an achievement as the Second Essay Champion at the EFW Glorious Decade event after struggling with 25 other competition participants. Apart from achieving achievements, Danan is also known as a student who is active in committees and organizations, namely as a functionary in the field of PSDM in the Accounting Student Association of FEB Unud in 2022. Danan is also an awardee of the Generasi Baru Indonesia (GenBI) scholarship in 2023. Not only focusing on organizations, Danan also takes the time to continue to hone his skills in the academic field by participating in various competitions, one of which is the EFW Glorious Decade, which aims to build student potential towards Indonesia's golden generation in 2045.

The journey that Danan took to win was not easy; there were many efforts and processes that he had to go through. In this national-level essay competition organized by BEM FEB Universitas Pendidikan Nasional, he competed with dozens of other students to win. In a relatively short time, Danan did research on current issues and continued to consult with his mentors, who came from FEB Unud students as well. Danan is a deadliner, so he has limited time to submit the essay. "The obstacle is the time that is quite tight on the deadline for completing the essay; you could say that at that time I collected the work 10 minutes before the link for submitting the work was closed," he said. However, this was used as a challenge that encouraged Danan to be more focused on the work to be collected and as a lesson so as not to approach the collection limit in making work for maximum results in the future.

Although this was his first essay competition, Danan was not discouraged and gave his best in the competition. With an essay entitled Good Corporate Governance (GCG) application in improving company performance and reducing the possibility of fraud, he was able to advance to the final round with nine other participants. All preparations were done carefully, so the final presentation stage passed by Danan can take place without obstacles. Thanks to his persistence and consistency, it was unexpected that his first competition in the essay field could score second place. With the motto "Sepi ing pamrih, rame ing gawe", he hopes that this will be the starting point and foundation to continue making achievements in other fields of competition. (rid)
