FILM SCREENING, BKFISIP 14 FISIP UNUD WATCHING “DI BALIK 98” TOGETHER

In the series of events for the Birthday of the Family Board, the Faculty of Social and Social and Political Sciences, Udayana University conducted a screening of the film Di Balik 98. In the 3rd series of events which were held at the FISIP Hall of UNUD on July 6 2023, it was officially opened by Deputy Dean 1 FISIP UNUD namely Dr. Ni Made Ras Amanda Gelgel S.Sos., M.Sc. This activity presented Yonathan Andre Baskoro as the main speaker. The moderator who guided the discussion between the resource person and the participants was a lecturer in the Sociology FISIP UNUD study program, namely Ni Made Anggita Sastri Mahadewi. The number of film screening participants reached more than 80 participants, both from lecturers and students.

 

During the film screening, the enthusiasm of the participants increased because the film brought all the viewers to the shocking socio-political turmoil in Indonesia in 1998. In the discussion session, the enthusiasm increased marked by the number of questions and comments from the participants. Baskoro also emphasized several things during the discussion session such as the marginalization of the Chinese ethnicity, the shooting of Tri Sakti students as an instrument to silence the riots, the role of students in reform, the challenges of today's students, to the importance of studying every action. “Today the struggles of fellow students are different from your brothers in the past, at least today's democracy is much better. So it's important for you to take advantage of it, but with the record of strengthening your studies.”, said Baskoro in one of the answers to the questions from the film screening participants.
