Faculty of Animal Husbandry Unud Holds Community Service in Pempatan Village, Karangasem

The Faculty of Animal Husbandry at Udayana University held a Community Service on Friday 16 June 2023, at the Puregai Office Banjar Hall, Pempatan Village, Rendang District, Karangasem Regency. This activity takes the title "Training on Making Silage Feed, Organic Fertilizers, and Their Business Potential". This Community Service event was opened directly by the Deputy Dean for Academic and Planning Affairs Dr. Ir. Dewi Ayu Warmadewi, S.Pt., M.Sc., IPM., ASEAN Eng, and also attended by the Deputy Dean for General Affairs and Finance, Dr. Ir. Budi Rahayu Tanama Putri, S.Pt., M.M., IPU., ASEAN Eng., Administrative Coordinator, Chair of the Committee, Faculty of Animal Husbandry lecturers and staff of Udayana University and livestock group representatives.

 

At this dedication event, three resource persons who are competent in their fields were invited. The first resource person was Dr. Ir. I Gusti Lanang Oka Cakra, M.Sc., with the topic presented, namely the Provision and Processing of Silage Livestock Feed. Meanwhile, the second resource person was Dr. I Made Mudita, S.Pt., MP. conveyed the production of organic fertilizer using Bio-BaliTani technology, and the third speaker was Professor of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry of Udayana University, Prof. Dr. Dr. Ir. Nyoman Suparta, M.S., M.M., IPU., ASEAN Eng., who delivered material on the Business Potential of Bali Cattle Farming, who specifically conveyed the experiences he had so far in managing his Bali cattle farming business. Then the event continued with a demonstration of making silage and organic fertilizer.
