International Service, APSSAI Meeting, LAMEMBA Workshop, Cultural Tour & Company Visit
The Master of Accounting Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Udayana University was appointed as the host of the Indonesian Association of Accounting Master Study Programs (APSSAI) in May 2023. This activity itself is a routine activity of APSSAI which aims as a means of gathering between members and sharing the latest information related to the management of Master of Accounting Study programs in Indonesia.
This activity includes International Community Service, APSSAI Meeting, LAMEMBA Workshop, Cultural Tour and Company Visit. The series of activities in collaboration with International Social Enterprice took place for 3 days from May 25-27, 2023, starting with International Community Service activities which took place at the Open Flow Learning Center, Lukluk-Badung, Bali on Thursday, May 25, 2023. The International Service activities began with an introduction and then continued with self-development sessions, art sessions, cooking sessions, and farming sessions based on natural sustainability guided by the Co-founders of the Open Flow Learning Center, Dr. Nicolene du Prezz and Mr. Peter Philip. There was also knowledge sharing from APSSAI to the management of Open Flow Learning Center. The event ended with the presentation of mementos from APSSAI and IAI Bali Region.
On Friday, May 26, 2023, the APSSAI Meeting and LAMEMBA Workshop were held at the 4th floor Hall Room, BH Building, Faculty of Economics and Business, Udayana University. This activity was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Udayana University, represented by the Coordinator of the Master of Accounting Study Program, Mrs. Ni Putu Sri Harta Mimba, S.E., Ak., M.Si., Ph.D., CA., CMA. followed by remarks from the Chairman of APSSAI, Mr. Prof. Dr. Abdul Halim, M.B.A, Ak., CA. then continued with remarks from Mrs. Prof. Dr. Dian Agustia as Chairperson of the IAI Educator Accountant Compartment as well as APSSAI advisor. On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Dian Agustia also shared about the Internationalization of Study Programs. The APSSAI Meeting and LAMEMBA Workshop also presented Prof. Christantius Dwiatmadja, Ph.D., a member of the LAMEMBA Executive Board as a resource person. The activity on the second day ended with a group photo and the handover of mementos and souvenirs to the speakers.
The APSSAI program concluded with a Cultural Tour & Company Visit, which took place on Saturday, May 27, 2023. The Cultural Tour & Company Visit began with a visit to UC Silver, Tohpati-Denpasar. UC Silver is a MURI Award-winning Social Enterprise for the Largest Silver Dragon Statue in Indonesia. Here the group of APSSAI members were guided by Mr. I Nyoman Eriawan, Owner of UC Silver to be shown the process of working on gold and silver jewelry from the beginning until it is ready to be marketed. The activity then continued with the pouring of eco enzymes in Lake Batur, Kintamani-Bali. Eco Enzyme is an organic material useful for the survival of biota in the lake. This Eco Enzyme pouring activity is also a form of APSSAI's concern for environmental sustainability. Afterwards, we visited Krisna Blangsinga, Gianyar which is also a Social Enterprise. The series of activities ended with dinner at Pitaloka Restaurant in Sanur.
