Guest Lecture from Queens University Belfast, UK

Undergraduate Nursing Study Program and Nurse Professional Education, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University held a Guest Lecture which took place in Dr. Room. A A. Made Djelantik, Unud Medical Faculty Building, Denpasar by inviting speakers from the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Queens University Belfast, UK.(9/6/2023)

 

The two main speakers who attended were:

1.Dr. Lorna Lawther with Topic: Public health in preconception and interconception care and antenatal care

2.Dr. Janine Stockdale Topic: VR in simulation education in the area of perinatal mental health and wellbeing moderated by Ns. Ni Komang Ari Sawitri, S.Kep., M.Sc., PhD

 

The purpose of holding this event is as a means of sharing knowledge and information related to maternity nursing.

 

The event was opened directly by the Deputy Dean for General Affairs and Finance, Dr. dr. I Made Sudarmaja, M.Kes, who on this occasion said that the topic of "Perinatal Mental Health" is a very interesting topic to talk about because it can affect the mental health of the next generation. Furthermore, he also expressed his hope that the collaboration between FK Unud and Queen's University could continue to grow.

 

"We hope that the collaboration between FK Unud and Queen's University can be carried out in other fields, such as conducting joint research to increase the value of institutions in the context of international accreditation," he said.

 

After it was opened, the event continued with presentations by resource persons which were continued with discussion sessions which were attended by all participants from among lecturers and students.
