In the Context of Cultivating the Quality of Graduates of Veterinarians, FVM UNUD held a DVM Guideline Revision workshop

The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FVM), Udayana University, held a workshop on revising the guidelines for the Education of the Veterinary Profession Program, Friday, 11/18/2022 at the meeting room on the 1st floor of the Udayana University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. This activity was attended by the Dean, Vice Deans, Unit Coordinators and Lecturers of the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Program Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.

The activity was initiated by the Opening by the Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University, Prof. Dr. drh. I Nyoman Suartha, M.Si. Prof. Suartha in his remarks said that revisions to both academic and curriculum guidelines had to be carried out in order to maintain the quality of education at the professional level. Academic Guidelines are general guidelines that will be applied by Lecturers to Professional Students which are then passed down into Block learning. "Good academic guidelines will produce competent veterinary graduates, so that later graduates of the UnudFVM can pass 100% in the Indonesian Veterinary Competency Examination," concluded Prof. Suartha in his speech.

 

 

The guideline workshop activities were led by the Doctor Veterinary Medicine Program Coordinator Prof. Dr. drh. I Made Dwinata, M. Kes. Prof. Dwinata stressed the role of Block Coordinators at each stage in the Veterinary Professional Program. The revision of the academic guidelines adapts to the Block system which is different from the semester system for undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The coordinators of each block are expected to make educational references in accordance with the learning outcomes that have been determined so that our veterinary graduates meet the expectations of stakeholders.

Currently, the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Program at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University, has 10 staging blocks, namely the Block of Veterinary Internal Medicine, Veterinary Surgery and Radiology, Veterinary Pharmacy, Veterinary Hospital, Veterinary Reproduction, Laboratory Diagnostics, Veterinary Public Health, One Health Application in Veterinary, Work Practice Field Study and Veterinary Study Final Examination.
