International Exchange Program 2022

The International Exchange Program with the theme "Wellness tourism and Quality of Life" is carried out as a form of information exchange and learning development activities, integrated in the Tourism Nursing Course which is the flagship of the Nursing and Nursing Profession Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University. This activity was carried out in collaboration between the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University and the Faculty of Health and Welfare of Kobe Woman University, Japan.

The activity was carried out for 7 sessions from November 12 to December 10, 2022. The learning methods consisted of lectures, case studies, discussions and presentations which were attended by students in the Nursing Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University and Japan. In addition, students will conduct field visits including: Travel Clinic RSPTN Unud, BIMC Hospital, Beach Health Post and Wellness Tourism services in Bali.

The first session was attended and at the same time opened by the Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Information, FK Unud, Prof. dr. I Md Ady Wirawan, PhD, Head of Nursing Services Faculty of Health and Welfare Kobe Woman University Japan Prof. Taeko Izumi, PhD, Coordinator of the Information and Cooperation Unit of Medical Faculty Unud Dr. dr. Ida Ayu Ika Wahyuniari, Academic Coordinator of the Nursing Study Program, FK Unud Ns. Ni Komang Ari Sawitri, M.Sc. PhD, activity coordinator Ns. Kadek Eka Swedarma, M.Kes and facilitator of learning activities.

The main resource person for the International Exchange Program is Prof. Hiroko Honda, PhD from Kobe University, Yoji Otani, PhD from Okayama University, Dr. I Gst Bagus Sasrawan Mananda, M.Par from the Faculty of Tourism, Udayana University, Dr. dr. Ni Made Sri Nopiyani, M.PH from the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University and the moderator Prof. Kajiwara. In the tourism nursing learning process, it was supported by resource persons from the Travel Medicine Unit of FK Unud, Public Health Study Program, FK Unud, Nursing Study Program, FK Unud, BIMC Hospital and 211 Emergency in Tourism Health Services.

Through this activity, it is hoped that it can improve students' abilities in identifying various health problems related to travel, as well as preparing health service strategies to improve the quality of life of tourists and the community of tourist destinations based on a nursing perspective. In the future, it is hoped that this activity can develop and be more innovative by involving several educational institutions and services both domestically and abroad.
