Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Unud Celebrates the 25th Anniversary and the 39th Family Board

 

The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University (FVM Unud) held a peak celebration of the 25th Anniversary and the 39th Family Veterinary Medicine Board (FVMB) at the Green Open Space Unud Sudirman Campus Denpasar, Sunday (06/11/2022) . The 25th Anniversary of FVM Unud and the 39th FVMB this time raised the theme "Sahitya Jagaddhita Sembagi Arutala" which means together creating prosperity with noble hopes and ideals for others. The peak of the FVMB celebration was attended by the Chancellor of Udayana University, Vice Chancellor IV of Udayan University, Deans at Udayana University, FVM Unud Stakeholders and the FVM Academic Community.

 

 

The peak activity of the 25th Anniversary of FVM and 39th FVMB is the culmination of a series of FVMB activities that have been running from the previous 2 months. Some of the activities of the Veterinary Family Body this year include: Udayana Veterinary Competition (UVECOM), Indonesia Veterinary Student Festival (INTERVAL) in collaboration with the Indonesian Veterinary Medicine Student Association (IVMSA), Veterinary Sport Competition, Seminar on Foot and Mouth Diseases (FMD) , Community Service in the form of a FMD Vaccination with the Buleleng and Karangasem Regency Agriculture Offices which involved approximately 200 students and Human Charity at the Orphanage in Sesetan.

 

 

The 25th Anniversary of the FVM and the 39th FVMB began with a leisurely walk followed by the entire academic community of FVM Unud with the route from Sudirman University Campus to Waturenggong Street and Back to Sudirman Campus. Then the opening ceremony which began with a report from the chairman of the committee, drh. I Wayan Wirata, M.Sc. drh. Wirata conveyed that the purpose of this FVMB activity was to strengthen solidarity and kinship between the academic community of FVM Unud. Then remarks by the Chairperson of the BEM FVM Unud I Dewa Bagus Merta Anom who conveyed the hopes of the Young Veterinary Personnel of FVM Unud. Speech by the Dean of FVM Unud Prof. I Nyoman Suartha, M.Si and Speech by the Chancellor of Udayana University Prof. Dr. Ir. I Nyoman Gde Antara, M.Eng., IPU.

 

 

The main event of the activity was continued with the cut of tumpeng which was carried out together by the Unud Rector, the Dean and the Vice Deans of FVM and the Deans of FVM in the previous periods. The event was continued with family events starting from singing together, awarding winners of FVMB competitions, awards for outstanding students and lecturers, as well as door prizes for the 25th FVM Anniversary and 39th FVMB activities.

 

 

Prof. Suartha said that today is a happy day for the academic community of FVM Unud who have been able to celebrate the anniversary and FVMB offline again. The anniversary and FVMB actually fell on November 8, but because it coincided with Rahina Purnama Kalima and a weekday, the peak of the celebration was moved forward so as not to interfere with the teaching and learning process. Currently, FVM Unud is managed by 70 lecturers with 24 administrative staff and 11 laboratory assistants with a total of 641 FVM Unud undergraduate students, 223 professionals, and 38 postgraduates.

 

 

Unud Rector, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Nyoman Gde Antara, M.Eng., IPU. in his speech conveyed congratulations and success to FVM Unud who celebrated the 25th anniversary and the 39th FVMB, it is hoped that the contribution of FVM at Udayana University will be better and increase in the future. Furthermore, the Chancellor on this occasion said that currently Udayana University has achieved Superior accreditation, of course to follow up on this superior accreditation we must go even higher by changing the status of Unud from PTN-BLU to PTN-BH. "This is an extraordinary job and a huge challenge, but together we will be able to achieve our dream of becoming a PTN-BH," said the Rector.
