FTP Udayana International Collaboration with Jircas Japan Conducts Research Activities in Subak Gede Saba Buleleng and International Community Service in Subak Lodtunduh Gianyar

International Community Service activity "Irrigation Modernization and the Development of Farming Industry in Subak" which is a collaboration between the Agricultural and Biosystem Engineering Study Program, Agroindustrial Technology Study Program, and Food Technology Study Program, Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Udayana University, and the Subak Unit of Udayana University with Japan International The Research Center for Agricultural Sciences (JIRCAS) was held on September 16, 2022 at Bale Subak Lodtunduh, Ubud, Gianyar, Bali. In this activity, several activities were carried out such as socialization and sharing about irrigation modernization and also the development of the agricultural industry in Subak to farmers in Subak Lodtunduh, Ubud, Gianyar. Here also the signing of several activities that have been carried out between FTP Udayana, Subak Udayana Unit and JIRCAS Japan.

 

This activity was attended by Dr. Okura Fumi and Dr. Shindo Soji from JIRCAS Japan and the Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology Prof. Ir. I Made Anom Sutrisna Wijaya, M.App.Sc., Ph.D., Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Planning of FTP Unud, Chair of UP2M FTP, Chair of UP3M FTP, Head of Subak Unud Unit, Coordinator of Agricultural and Biosystem Engineering Study Program, Coordinator of Agroindustrial Technology Study Program, Coordinator of Food Technology Study Program, Head of Laboratory of Natural Resources and Environmental Management of FTP Udayana, Head of Laboratory of Agricultural and Biosystem Engineering Management System FTP Udayana, Lecturer Staff in FTP Udayana, and Krama Subak Lodtunduh, Ubud, Gianyar.

 

 

The realization of the collaboration between FTP Udayana and JIRCAS Japan had previously been carried out on September 14th -15th  2022, namely research activities on subak irrigation, observation of equipment installation and initial data collection in Subak Gede Saba, Seririt Village, Buleleng Regency. Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology Prof. Ir. I Made Anom Sutrisna Wijaya, M.App.Sc., Ph.D. hopes that through the collaboration between FTP Udayana and JIRCAS Japan, it can provide solutions to the problems encountered by the community, especially problems related to the subak irrigation system, he also hopes that in the future this realized collaboration can continue and develop not only in the field of community service and research but also in the field of Education.
