Of that number, only less than 10% are professional engineers or have competency certificates. Meanwhile, in order to face the era of global industrialization and the Asean Economic Community (MEA) ), the government continues to boost infrastructure development so that the need for professional Engineers becomes increasingly urgent. Law No. 11 of 2014 in the future requires all Bachelors who work in the engineering field to have an Engineer Registration Certificate (STRI). must graduate from the Professional Engineer Program organized by universities in collaboration with relevant ministries and PII,"

So the treatment of work, the standard of payment, the standard of work will certainly be the same. Therefore, here PII's role is to manage engineering certification,"
After students of the Professional Engineer Study Program (PSPPI) have successfully completed the RPL Program, the next stage of the process is to prepare a professional certification process for students. To get a professional engineer certification from PII (IPP, IPM, or IPU) all students must fill out the Professional Engineer Application Form (FAIP).
"The thing that must be considered when filling out the FAIP is that applicants must understand the competency standards, which are mandatory and optional, then the applicant must understand the rubric, and finally the scoring rules. When filling out, you will feel bored, but when you write, you will understand and have be more confident in your field of work. With a good understanding, it will become a knowledge management instrument for our work in the future, "said Dr. Ir. Ngakan Ketut Acwin Dwijendra, ST, SDs, MA, IPU, ASEAN Eng.
