FH UNUD Signs International Cooperation With ICRC

FH Unud has collaborated with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) several times and on August 19, 2022 the cooperative relationship was ratified through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and Cooperation Agreement (PKS). The signing of the MoU was carried out by Alexandre Faite (Head of the ICRC Regional Delegation for Indonesia-Timor Leste) with the Chancellor of Udayana University who was represented by the Vice Chancellor IV for Planning, Cooperation and Information at Udayana University while the signing of the PKS was done with the Dean of the Faculty of Law Unud. The ICRC is a non-profit international organization founded by a private party but based on its historical qualifications as a subject of international law in the form of a suigeneris international organization. For this reason, the ICRC meets the criteria for international cooperation partners based on the Main Performance Indicators (IKU) of State Universities (PTN) number 6 which is required by the Directorate General of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia. The ICRC is a neutral, independent organization engaged in the humanitarian field, ensuring the protection of humanity, assisting victims of war, promoting respect for international humanitarian law and its implementation into national law. With the MoU and PKS, FH Unud can collaborate in the field of implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education which involves teaching lecturers and students, especially FH Unud several student organizations in the field of international law, such as SCIL and ALSA.
