National Seminar

Doctoral Program in Legal Studies (PDIH) FH Unud held a National Seminar (Semnas) "Prevention of Culture-Based Violence against Women" on Monday, July 25, 2022 in the Hall of FH Unud in a hybrid manner and was attended by 200 participants. The event began with remarks from the Chairman of the Committee, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Suyatna, SH., MH. and opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Law Unud, Dr. Putu Gede Arya Sumerta Yasa, SH., M. Hum. Prevention of violence against women is fundamental because even though its protection has been regulated in international and national legal instruments, Komnas Perempuan's Annual Records show that 2021 is the year with the highest number of cases of Gender-Based Violence (KBG), which is an increase of 50 percent compared to 2020, which was 338,496. case. From the report, KBG in Higher Education (PT) ranks first at 35 percent. For this reason, 4 resource persons were presented who conveyed evaluations, efforts, strategies, legal regulations and cultural approaches to improve the prevention of violence against women: Lecturer of Faculty of Law, University of Pancasila, Dr. Kunthi Tridewiyanti, SH., MA; The head of the Bali Sruti NGO, Dr. Ir.
