Unud Postgraduate PSMIL collaborates with UNIMAS to work on Foreign Cooperation Grant Research
Research Collaboration (UNIMAS and Postgraduate UNUD) "Species distribution and composition of true and associate mangrove, and marine wood borer from mangrove forest in Bali".
In implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, the Postgraduate of Udayana University carries out various activities both in the fields of education, research, and community service. In supporting the successful implementation of the higher education tridharma, the Postgraduate of Udayana University collaborates with various parties. One of the intended collaborations is with the University of Sarawak Malaysia. Postgraduate cooperation with the University of Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) has been ongoing since the signing of the MoU in 2018, both in the fields of education, research and community service.
One of the forms of cooperation in terms of research is that in 2022, the KoProdi of the Environmental Science Masters Study Program, Prof. Ir. Ida Ayu Astarini, MSc, PhD, conducted a research collaboration with A/Prof. Khairul Adha with the research topic "Species distribution and composition of true and associate mangrove, and marine wood borer from mangrove forest in Bali".
This research was funded from the Unud PNBP grant, under the Foreign Cooperation Grant scheme. Biology lecturer staff Dr. Ketut Ginantra and Made Saka Wijaya, S.Si, MSc and PSMIL students were involved in this study which took place at 5 sites in Bali, namely Nusa Lembongan, Suwung, Pejarakan, TNBB and Perancak. The research will last until August 2022. Currently, exploration results in Nusa Lembongan have found several types of wood borers, and one type of mangrove has never been reported in Nusa Lembongan to support the implementation of Tri Dharma Pendidikan Tall .
