Give Off-Campus Experience, All Study Programs at FTP Unud Hold Field Lectures

All study programs at Faculty of Agricultural Technology Udayana University (FTP Unud) such as Food Technology Study Program, the Industrial Agricultural Technology Study Program and the Agricultural and Biosystem Engineering Study Program provide off-campus experiences for students by conducting field lectures.

 

The three Study Programs have conducted field lectures that are suited to their respective fields of study in order to improve the quality of education. The Food Technology Study Program provides a field study experience through the Flavor Technology Course by visiting PT. Bali Extract Utama. This activity was accompanied by Dr. Gusti Ayu Kadek Diah Puspawati, S.TP., M.Si and I Gede Arie Mahendra Putra, S.TP., M.TP. This field lecture was immediately welcomed and accepted by the QA/QC Supervisor, Mrs. Nur Aini, S.TP and the Operations Manager of PT. Bali Extracts Utama are Mr. Aman Slamet, S.T. During this visit, students learned how to practice in the field regarding the materials and equipment used, as well as the extraction process to make extracts that can later be used as flavor.

 

The Industrial Agricultural Technology Study Program provides a field study experience through the Work Procedure Engineering Course by visiting PT. Cau Chocolate International. This activity was accompanied by Mrs. Dr. Ir. Luh Putu Wrasiati. M.P and Mrs. Dr. Dewa Ayu Anom Yuarini, S.TP., M.Agb. This lecture was immediately welcomed and accepted by Dr. I Wayan Alit Arta Wiguna and Dr. Ni Wayan Tatik Inggriyati as Owner of PT. Cau Chocolate International. Through this field study, it is hoped that it will be able to provide an understanding of the technical procedures for working in a company.

 

The Agricultural and Biosystem Engineering Study Program provides field study experience to BMKG Region III Denpasar. This activity was accompanied by Mrs. Ni Nyoman Sulastri, S.TP., M.Agr, Ph.D., Mrs. Mentari Kinasih, S.TP., M.T., Ir. I Wayan Tika, M.P and Ida Ayu Gede Bintang Madrini, S.TP., M.Agr, Ph.D. This field lecture was immediately accepted by I Nyoman Gede Wiryajaya, S.TP., M.P as Head of the BMKG Region III Denpasar Data and Information Division. The field lectures carried out gave students experience related to weather, climate, anticipation of hydrometeorological disasters, meteorology early warning systems.

 

 

Through this activity, it is hoped that it can provide experience to students from the three Study Programs at FTP Unud so that students can carry out activities outside the campus and compare the theory obtained in class with practice in the field and are expected to improve the quality of education and student abilities.
