Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Mr. Wang Lutong Visits the Tourism Confucius Institute, Udayana University

Denpasar - Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Indonesia H.E. Mr Wang Lutong visited the Tourism Confucius Institute (TCI) Faculty of Tourism, Udayana University (Unud), Sunday (16/2/2025). The visit of the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Indonesia was received directly by the Rector of Unud at the TCI Office, Agrokompleks Building, Sudirman Campus, Denpasar. Also present to accompany the Ambassador was Mr. Zhu Yarong (Director of Political Department), Mr. Shi Ye, Mr. Lu Lei, and from the Consulate of the People's Republic of China in Denpasar who attended, namely Mr. Zheng Min (Deputy of Consul R.R. China in Denpasar), Mrs. Zhu Yu (Deputy of Consul R.R. China in Denpasar), and Ms. Tang Lingyi.

Meanwhile, from Unud who was also present to accompany the Rector, namely the Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information, Prof. I Putu Gede Adiatmika, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism Dr. I Wayan Suardana, Mr. Lu Kemin (Director of China TCI Unud) and Dr. I Gusti Ngurah Widyatmaja (Director of Indonesia TCI Unud).

Rector of Unud Prof. I Ketut Sudarsana in his speech said that Udayana University was honored by the visit of the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Indonesia. The Rector further explained briefly the profile of Udayana University with the hope that in the future there will be many opportunities for collaboration with universities in China in various fields, including visits by leaders, student exchanges, language learning, cultural exchanges, guest lectures, and other academic activities.

Meanwhile Ambassador Mr. Wang Lutong in his speech said that he was very happy to be able to visit the largest university in Bali and expressed his gratitude for the hospitality of the leaders and staff who welcomed the arrival of the delegation from the Chinese Embassy, ​​as well as the presentation of traditional Balinese dance and music performed by Udayana University students.  Hopefully in the future the Chinese Embassy to Indonesia will be able to facilitate cooperative relations between Udayana University and several universities in China so that there will be many opportunities for cooperation that will benefit the progress of the institution and the wider community in the future.

Ending the Ambassador's working visit, souvenirs were handed over and continued with a site visit to the Udayana University Denpasar campus. Several locations visited were Postgraduate and Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University.
