Carrying the Theme of Ksatria Daniswara Swadharmaning Nayyotama, PKKMB Prabhu Udayana was Attended by 6,336 Students

Jimbaran - Udayana University (Unud) carried out the 2024 Prabhu Udayana Introduction to New Student Campus Life (PKKMB) activity which took place for two days, 13 and 14 August 2024, at the Widya Sabha Auditorium area, Jimbaran Campus. This time the PKKMB was attended by around 6,336 students, and also 98 students from the previous period. The opening of the PKKMB was marked by the planting of the Kayonan and the embedding of participants' name tags by the Rector of Unud.

General Chair of the 2024 PKKMB Committee Dr. I Made Artha Wibawa, SE., MM in his report said that this PKKMB 2024 is the second time that PKKMB has provided space for students to play an active role as a committee in its implementation, where there are three elements that are members of the committee, namely Lecturers, Education Staff and Students are expected to be able to provide a new color and atmosphere with new thoughts, full of innovation according to the latest rhythm. However, PKKMB still refers to the guidelines, rules, values ​​and rules of the game and cannot be separated from the ethics of introducing campus life itself.

The PKKMB theme this time is "Ksatria Daniswara Swadharmaning Nayyotama" which means "A person who is tough, guided by superior intelligence in devoting himself to achieving the best results for himself and society wisely and with dedication."

"We believe that all of you are the best young men and women who have extraordinary potential. Here, you will be forged into people who not only excel in science, but also have strong character and a high social spirit," said the General Chairperson.

He hopes that all students who take part in this PKKMB will carry it out in an orderly manner in accordance with the guidelines that have been prepared by the committee and follow all directions and instructions from the committee so that this PKKMB can run smoothly and end in accordance with what we all hope for.

Meanwhile, the Rector of Unud, Prof. Ir. Ngakan Putu Gede Suardana, MT., Ph.D., IPU., ASEAN Eng. In his speech, he expressed his congratulations as Unud new students to all new students at Udayana University because after going through such intense struggle and competition, you have succeeded in winning the competition and thus becoming part of the Udayana University community.

The PKKMB activity is a routine activity carried out at the beginning of every academic year, consisting of an introduction to the Tridharma of Higher Education for every student when entering college which is intended to increase the sense of national unity and integrity, love of the homeland, as well as the introduction of curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities that speed up adaptation. new students and their campus environment.

"During the study period, students are expected to be able to develop various academic and non-academic competencies, as well as increase their experience and collaborate in multidisciplinary areas. PKKMB activities can be an important initial vehicle for changing the paradigm of new students from just studying at university to being able to develop their steps independently to can contribute and be useful for Indonesia," said the Rector of Unud.

In this PKKMB, various materials were presented, including presentation by each Vice Rector, MBKM Policy, Development of Awareness of National Defense and National Life, Development of the National Mental Revolution Movement, Talkshow Introduction to Cultural Values, Ethics, Manners, Campus Life Norms, PPKS, Socialization of the Student Movement, and others. Meanwhile, the second day was filled with presentations and demos for each student activity unit as well as an introduction to student organizations. This year's PPKMB also presented external speakers from Unud, namely KOL KAV Jonny Harianto G, S.I.P., M.H.I (Legal and Humanitarian Affairs Expert Sahli Pangdam IX Udayana), Dr. Ida Bagus Rai Dharmawijaya Mantra, S.E., M.Si (Chairman of Ikayana), and Miss Indonesia (Monica Kezia Sembiring).
