Rector of Udayana University Inaugurates Prof. I Ketut Sudarsana as Vice Rector for Student Affairs
Denpasar - Located in the Nusantara Room, Agrokompleks Building, Sudirman Campus, Denpasar, an inauguration and handover ceremony for officials at Udayana University (Unud) was held, Wednesday (8/11/2023). This event was attended by the Rector, Vice Rectors, Chair of the Senate, Chair of SPI, Head of Bureau, Chair of Institutions, Faculty and Postgraduate Leaders, UPT, Dharma Wanita Persatuan Unud and other guests. In this activity, the Rector of Unud inaugurated three officials, namely Prof. Ir. I Ketut Sudarsana, ST., Ph.D as Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Dr. Ir. Dewa Made Wiharta, ST., MT as Head of the Information Resources Unit (USDI) and Dr. Drs. I Putu Suhartika, M.Si as Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Planning, FISIP. The inauguration began with a jasaya-jaya ceremony at the Widya Maha Amrta Temple, Sudirman Campus, Denpasar.
Rector of Unud Prof. Ir. Ngakan Putu Gede Suardana, MT., Ph.D in his speech said that the inauguration of officials today was due to vacant positions or due to rejuvenation, so they had to be filled so that administration at Udayana University continued to run well.
In his speech, the Rector gave a message to the new Vice Rector for Student Affairs, who has a big responsibility related to student affairs where students are the spearhead of the future sustainability of Udayana University, and as a bridge to connect the interests of the campus with students.
The Rector hopes that the new Vice Rector for Student Affairs can create new programs or breakthroughs to improve student achievement. Because with this achievement, Udayana University will be more respected and trusted by the community. Student activities must remain controlled if there is the potential to cause problems that could damage the University's image, so that they can be prevented as early as possible.
"The task of Vice Rector 3 is very difficult. Apart from achievement, MBKM is also on your shoulders. Please improve it because this is related to the Main Performance Indicators of our Higher Education," said the Rector of Unud.
To the new Vice Dean for Academic Affairs at FISIP, he hopes that he will be able to create academic innovations that can create a good, comfortable and conducive learning process or academic atmosphere for students in the faculty. Discipline, responsibility and innovation are the keys to producing many outcomes that have a positive impact on achievements in the areas of improving faculty status, and fulfilling performance indicators according to performance contracts.
Then to the Head of the Information Resources Unit (USDI) and his team, the Rector hopes that he can improve existing systems so that services to students, lecturers, educational staff, and system integration with the center can run well and smoothly.
Through this opportunity, the Rector also congratulated all new officials, and hoped that they would be able to carry out this mandate, duties and responsibilities based on commitment, discipline, integrity, devotion and loyalty to advance Udayana University.
