Commemorating National Education Day 2022, Udayana University Holds Flag Ceremony

Jimbaran - The atmosphere of the Udayana University Rectorate Field was again lively with the holding of a Flag Ceremony to commemorate National Education Day 2022, Friday (13/05/2022). Commemoration of National Education Day 2022 on May 2 to coincide with Eid Al-Fitr 1443 H and joint leave in 2022, so according to a letter from the Ministry of Education, Culture Research and Technology, this year's National Education Day is commemorated on May 13, 2022. face-to-face, limited, minimalist, and because currently Bali Province is already at PPKM Level 2, and of course it is still recommended to apply health protocols in an effort to prevent the spread of Covid-19 that has been set by the government.

The 2022 National Education Day Commemoration Ceremony takes the theme "Lead Recovery, Move for Free Learning". This ceremony was attended by all leadership levels both at the University level and at the faculty level, as well as representatives from the academic community both from the elements of educators, education staff and involving students, especially the student regiment (Menwa) and the Unud Marching Band UKM. As the supervisor of the ceremony, the Rector of Udayana University, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Nyoman Gde Antara, M.Eng.,IPU.

In commemoration of this National Education Day, 54 recipients of the Satya Lencana Karya Satya were affixed with honors, of which there were 19 recipients of the 30-year-old Satya Lencana, 4 recipients of the 20-year-old Satya Lencana and 31 recipients of the 10-year Satya Lencana. Besides that, awards were also given in the form of incentives for outstanding students and their supervisors. Those who won individual gold received incentives of 10 million, silver 6 million and bronze 4 million. Meanwhile for the Group, those who win gold will receive an incentive of 10 million, silver 8 million and bronze 6 million.

Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Nadiem Anwar Makarim in his speech to commemorate National Education Day which was read by the Rector of Udayana University Prof.Dr.Ir. I Nyoman Gde Antara, M.Eng., IPU as the Ceremony Supervisor said that during the last two years there were many challenges that had to be faced but we were not only able to get through but even stand at the forefront to lead recovery and revival through Merdeka Learning. The Independent Curriculum is proven to be able to reduce the impact of loss of learning during the pandemic. This independent curriculum has been implemented in more than 140,000 education units throughout Indonesia. so that hundreds of thousands of Indonesian children have learned in a much more fun and liberating way.

All the positive changes that were brought together are not only felt in Indonesia, but have been echoed to other countries through the Indonesian presidency at the G20 high-level conference. This year we proved that we are no longer just followers, but leaders of the world recovery movement. In the future there will still be strong winds and much bigger waves and much higher obstacles, and we will continue to take command, lead the recovery together, move for independent learning.
