Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Udayana University Collaborating with Sebelas Maret University (UNS) to host the 5th ICCC 2020

Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Udayana University (FTP Unud) Collaborating with Sebelas Maret University (UNS) to host the 5th International Conference on Climate Change 2020 (5th ICCC 2020). The 5th ICCC was held virtually using the Zoom Room Meeting platform on 24-25 September 2020. This conference was also attended by the Rector of Udayana University, Rector of UNS, Gifu University Japan Chancellor, Dean and Deputy Dean of FTP Unud, UNS Postgraduate Director, Watepedia, Netherland, Indonesia Expert Network for Climate Change and Forestry (APIKI) and The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

Deputy Chairman of the Committee Ida Bagus Wayan Gunam, Ph.D said that this prestigious event was held together with the Postgraduate School of Sebelas Maret University, The United Graduate School of Agriculture Science (UGSAS), Gifu University and the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Udayana University.

The Rector of Udayana University Prof. A.A Raka Sudewi in his speech said that this conference was held when the world was facing the Covid-19 pandemic disaster. Therefore, it is very appropriate to take the theme of this event "Lessons Learn from Covid-19 Pandemic for Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation Strategies" as a forum for meetings, networks, and discussions on sustainable approaches to climate change, environment, agriculture, bioscience, medical , and tourism. Therefore, from this conference it is hoped that all of us can learn more about the theoretical and practical aspects of climate change and global warming and develop knowledge, research, techniques and methods of adaptation and mitigation through sustainable approaches to support global health.

This conference aims to bring together scientists and academics in disciplines related to climate change so that they can discuss and share expertise, experiences and expand networks. The Rector appreciated the contribution of all participants, especially scientists or speakers, to share their expertise in this conference.

Agricultural Resources Management); Dr. James MacGregor (World Planet, Canada; expertise: climate change, ecotourism); Prof. Dr. Nashir Uddin (Texas A&M Univ. College, USA; expertise: Medicine); Dr. Emmy Latifah (UNS Indonesia; Expertise: Law Science); Prof. Dr. Sanjib K. Panda (Rajashtan University, India; expertise: Biotechnology), Dr. Mahawan Karuniasa (Member of PCCB, UNFCCC; Chairman of Indonesia Expert Network for Climate Change and Forestry, APIKI; Lecturer in University of Indonesia).
