COORDINATOR PRESIDENTIAL SPECIAL STAFF THE PRESIDENT OF INDONESIA VISITS UDAYANA UNIVERSITY
Rector of Udayana University Prof. A.A Raka Sudewi accompanied by the Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information who is also the Head of the Unud Covid Task Force Prof. IB Wyasa Putra received a visit from the Coordinator of the Special Staff of the President of the Republic of Indonesia AAGN Ari Dwipayana at the Nusa Room, Rectorate Building, Bukit Jimbaran Campus, Tuesday (8/9/2020). The meeting also attended the Heads of Bureaus and Members of the Unud Covid Task Force.
Rector of Udayana University Prof. A.A Raka Sudewi in his speech explained at a glance the Profile of Udayana University and gave his appreciation for the visit of the Coordinator of the Special Staff of the President of the Republic of Indonesia.
AAGN Presidential Special Staff Coordinator Ari Dwipayana said that this visit was motivated by the handling of Covid and the results of economic growth in Bali in the second quarter which greatly impacted the community. According to the President's direction, there are two focuses, namely health and the economy so that a quick recovery is made.
In the health sector, it is focused on prevention efforts due to the spread of Covid, for this reason strengthening of health protocols with a strict legal umbrella has been carried out, surveys have been carried out and obtained input and opinions from various different groups. Furthermore, related to 3T, namely Testing in the form of specimen testing, Tracing, namely the ability to find new cases and treatment related to the ratio of medical personnel and population.
In the economic sector, efforts have been made to encourage the movement of the state sector from the APBN with the aim of increasing purchasing power and providing capital stimulus. Through this opportunity, it is hoped that input and suggestions regarding the problem of program synergy at the Central and Regional Governments are expected, so that the absorption capacity of government programs can increase. Input is also needed whether the policy issued is correct or there may be other suggestions. Besides, it also needs research and innovation support from academics. The Special Staff Coordinator also gave appreciation for the contribution of Udayana University academics, the suggestions and input obtained during this visit would be very useful in order to handle it more effectively. The good things that have been done can be used as an example for other regions.
In this meeting, the Head of the Unud Covid Task Force gave an explanation regarding the efforts that have been made at the university level in terms of health protocols and the role of the Udayana Hospital in providing services in the health sector, especially during this pandemic.
At the end of the visit, 10 thousand masks were handed over from the Coordinator of the Presidential Special Staff to Udayana University.
