Melaspas Ceremony, Traditional Inauguration of Close House of PT Charoen Pokpand Indonesia Grant to the Faculty of Animal Husbandry
The Faculty of Animal Husbandry held Melaspas ceremony the Close House (chicken coop) on Tuesday (11/26/2019) at the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Jimbaran Campus. The event was attended by all academic community members, ranging from lecturers, staff and also students. The LASASAS event is a series of traditional inaugurations, and later on December 5 there will be an inauguration that invites the President Director of PT Charoen Pokpand Indonesia, Minister, Directorate General of Animal Husbandry, Rectorate and Head of the Office of Animal Husbandry and Animal Health of Bali Province.
This Close House is a direct grant given by PT Charoen Pokpand Indonesia to the Faculty of Animal Husbandry. Not only providing grants for cage procurement, but PT Charoen Pokpand Indonesia will also provide close house management assistance. To get this grant, the Faculty of Animal Husbandry must shift hundreds of universities that register to enter the top 10. There are many requirements for selection, one of the most important is that there must be availability of land close to where students conduct lectures.
Therefore, the Faculty of Animal Husbandry of Udayana University made it into the top 10 of the State Universities that received grants. According to the Vice Dean I of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Dr. Dewi Ayu Warmadewi, S.Pt., M.Sc, "Udayana University with Gadjah Mada University, Diponegoro University, Sudirman University, Hasanuddin University, Lampung University, Andalas University, Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), Brawijaya University and Sebelas Maret University (UNS) are lucky because he to get a grant that was distributed only once. "She also added, with the help of this teaching fam, which is very useful for students to directly practice the knowledge they get in college and then adapt it to the conditions in the field.
The Close House cage for teaching fam has a capacity of 20,000 chickens per period. For its own management, there will be 5 lecturers, two workers on cage, then students. According to the Secretary of the Coordinator of the Close House of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Ir. I Wayan Wijana, MP, "The results of the cage is 100 percent for us at the animal husbandry faculty, but of course with the established path." He also added that the production facilities, feed seeds all came from PT Charoen Pokpand Indonesia. For marketing the results themselves, will be sold again with the help of PT Charoen Pokpand Indonesia. After deducting the cost of production, it will get profits, later the profits will go to BLU of Udayana University first, then get through the Faculty of Animal Husbandry.
