International Dental Symposium Expected to Improve Dental Abilities in Bali

Badung - Thursday, May 10, 2018 Udayana University Faculty of Dental Education Study Program held Bali International Dental Symposium with theme "Improving Quality of Dental Health Service and Patient Protection through Understanding of Professional Ethics in Supporting Dental Tourism" at The Stone Hotel Legian. The event opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine representing Rector of Unud lasted for three days (10-12 May 2018). In this event also held Bali International Dental Symposium Scientific Award 2018 and Exhibition of Distributor Equipment Dentistry.

Chairman of the Committee, Drg. Stevano Handoko delivered a seminar aimed to accommodate the Dentists throughout Bali which amounted to about 750 people to increase knowledge in terms of ability and technology. Stevano further said if thinking globally, Dental Tourism is a good market for Dentists in Bali. Currently also has developed Digital Dentistry, if not follow the developments then we will be left behind so this activity is expected to anticipate it considering very rarely held seminars like this. Activities undertaken include scientific seminars, trainings, award poster submissions and short lectures to be published in international journals.

Dean of Faculty of Medicine Unud, Dr. dr. I Ketut Suyasa, Sp B., Sp.OT (K) hopes that this activity can develop Dental Tourism which is one of the focus in Travel Medicine and this is one of the initial stimulation to develop which is also expected to provide added value for Udayana University .
