DEVELOPING BALI CENTER FOR SUSTAINABLE FINANCE IN UNUD, OJK HELD FOCUS GROUP DISCUSSION

Denpasar - Udayana University in cooperation with the Financial Services Authority (OJK) held Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on "Development and Facilitation of Strategic Planning", Monday (19/03/2018) at Bhineka Room Agrokompleks Building, Campus Sudirman Denpasar. This activity was one of the implementation of Memorandum of Understanding / MOU both parties which related to OJK-Udayana Bali Center for Sustainable Finance (BCSF). FGD was attended by Representatives of OJK Bali and Nusra, Head of Bank Bali Regional Office, Perusda Provinsi Bali, PHRI, Perhorti, Business Develompent Manager Southeast Asia at ERK Eckrohrkessel GmbH and Facilitator Team from Institute of Economic and Community Research University of Indonesia.

Chairman of the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) Unud, Prof. Dr. Ir. Gede Rai Maya Temaja, MP conveyed this FGD is a follow-up to the launching which has been carried out 12 July 2017 and visitation of LPEM FEB Team of Universitas Indonesia which agreed to realize the development of BCSF. In the future BCSF is expected to be a pioneer institution under LPPM Unud that focuses on research and development of sustainable finance through research activities, mentoring, and strengthening both institutional and human resources. The expected competence of OJK-Udayana BCSF is to be a reference and referral center for sustainable finance in Indonesia and able to provide policy recommendations and recommendations for relevant stakeholders. Through the FGD, the Chairperson of LPPM hopes that the inputs from the resource persons and stakeholders will be useful and helpful in the preparation and improvement of vision, mission, roadmap, business plan and action plan through an activity.

Rector of Unud, Prof. Dr. dr. A A. Raka Sudewi, Sp. S (K) conveyed this activity is a form of implementation of Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi implementation through development of financial services sector, improvement of financial literacy and development of BCSF. Rector hopes that through the FGD, BCSF can stand, develop and participate in accordance with the vision of mission that has a purpose in line with Udayana University mission vision. The support of all stakeholders is expected that BCSF can contribute to sustainable financial development in line with shared expectations. (PR)
