Certificating process and congratulating to the graduates

Bukit-Jimbaran. Universitas Udayana (UNUD) Unud held the 120th graduation ceremony, on Saturday 11th March 2017 at Widya Sabha Auditorium, Kampus Jimbaran. In this graduation, Unud graduated 1,119 graduates, comprising 1 Diploma-3, 20 Diploma-4, 766-Bachelor Degree, 9 Accounting Profession, 7 Veterinary Profession, 34 Doctors Profession, 51 Specialist Doctors-1, 190 Masters and 41 PhD. Until the 120th Graduation, the total of Udayana University's alumni who graduated were amounted to 79.694 people. From the 1119 there were 15 best graduates with the following details:

"Udayana University, as an institution of higher education under Kemenristekdikti, continue to improve to translate the vision of the ministry namely the establishment of a quality education as well as science and technology and innovation to support the nation's competitiveness. With the achievement of accreditation higher education institution "superior or A" and got 3 stars from QS Star ratings, reflect the success of their external recognition of the quality of institutions in managing education, but more needs to be persued to compete on a global level. For the graduates themselves, there are two key words associated with the competitiveness that must be owned, namely: innovative and creative. Graduates without adequate innovation and creativity will sink by the fierce competition. The thing to remember is that in the future there is no protection for labor by a country, there is only competition. There are no other words for the graduates to continuously hone knowledge and skills in an effort to improve the competitiveness of the private and the nation, if it does not want to be unemployed and spectators in their own country," stated the Rector of Udayana University, Prof. Dr. dr. Ketut Suastika, Sp. PD-KEMD.

Rector also said that in early January 2017, he was invited by the Governor of Bali, in a meeting, Simakrama, which discussed the unemployment. As it is known that Bali province has the small rate of unemployment compared to other provinces, but the striking thing was the largest contributor to the unemployed are college graduates. Rector stated that with the quality of education in Udayana University, the graduates will not be a contributor to unemployment in Bali. It should also be understood by the graduates that the competitiveness when looking for work or creativity is more influenced by the individual business graduates itself, and not solely by the quality of the university where the graduate printed. Enterprises and learn consistently, enhance the innovative and creative is the key to the success of the graduates in the face of the world of work. Rector expects that the graduates are able to meet their obligations and responsibilities as individuals, as citizens of Udayana University, and as a society and nation of Indonesia.

Armed with the knowledge, skills and experiences for education, the graduates are expected to be a formidable opportunity and devotees, both for themselves, their families, the environment and our nation as well as to contribute in enhancing the dignity of the nation through competitive advantage and innovation capability.

In the Graduation of Udayana University, Entrepreneurship Development Center (EDC) held Unud Culinary Expo, Souvenir and Merchandise, which is housed in the west Photobooth of Auditorium Building Widya Sabha followed by young entrepreneurial from Udayana University. This activity aims to provide opportunities to young entrepreneurs in Unud to introduce its products, in addition to learn the hard skills and soft skills and also learn to create their own employment. Besides, through this activity is expected to spur the spirit of the graduates Unud to be able to create their own jobs. (arisugama)
