THE STUDENTS OF MAN 1 KEDIRI INTERESTED WITH BIDIK MISI SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM OF UDAYANA UNIVERSITY

Udayana University received a visit from students of MAN 1 Kediri, Monday, February 27th, 2017 in the Auditorium Building Widya Sabha Bukit Jimbaran Campus. The delegation was received  by Head of Academic Cooperation and Public Relations and represented by the Head of Academic and Statistics, Nyoman Supangat, SH. The visit was attended by 373 students of class XI and 28 accompanying teachers from MAN 1 Kediri. Vice Principal Curriculum Field MAN 1 Kediri, Mrs. Ira Fatma conveyed that the visit aimed to gain experience and insight to know university’s life and strengthen the relations with the University of Udayana. Ira Fatma also appreciated that the university is willing to accept a visit and share information about Unud in an attempt to motivate the students to determine the future direction of education.

The students were very enthusiastic  in listening to the explanation from the university, it is seen from the interaction of students in asking questions about the information presented, particularly about "scholarship program Bidik Misi" which is tuition assistance from the Government of the Republic of Indonesia through the Directorate General of Higher Education , which is given for prospective students to finish their studies and have the academic potential to continue their education to pursue higher education. The total number of 550 students Udayana University have received Bidik Misi scholarships in 2016, and is expected to continue to grow in subsequent years. It is also desirable to teacher at MAN 1 Kediri to socialize Bidik Misi scholarships to disadvantaged students who has good achievment in order to be motivated to pursue higher education. (PR)
