The Cooperation between Udayana University and Indian Council For Cultural Relations
On Thursday, February 23th, 2017 located in Language Room(Ruang Bahasa) Campus Bukit Jimbaran Rectorat Building, Rector University of Udayana signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Indian Council for Cultural Relations in terms of "the Establishment of the ICCR Teacher for Sankskrit Language". The meeting were attended by Rector University of Udayana, Prof. Dr. dr. Ketut Suastika, Sp.PD-KEMD, Consul General of India, Shri r.o. Sunil Babu, Deputy Rector IV, Prof. Drs. I Made Suastra, Ph.D., Deputy Rector III, Dr. I Nyoman Suyatna, SH.MH, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Cultural Knowledge as well as the staff of the Consulate General of India. Cooperation between the these two sides carried out the framework of the development of the Sanskrit language, which was centered in the Faculty of Cultural Knowledge in Udayana University.
Rector University of Udayana welcomes this cooperation considering that between Bali and India has similarities in culture. He also hope that by signing this MoU, it will tighten the relationship between Bali, especially for University of Udayana, and India. Before, University of Udayana also had cooperation with Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences in terms of development in Ayurveda which is cetered in Faculty of Medicine, University of Udayana.
Rector University of Udayana also expressed his appreciation for the efforts and hard work that made by Deputy Rector IV in looking for opportunities and develops the cooperation with various parties abroad, especially with India, Rector also expressed his pride for the new Udayana University who has Sanskrit lecture directly from India. Fore Consul General of India hoped that the cooperation of both parties will continue, not only in language, and ayurveda, but also in other scientific fields.(PR)
