The Vice Rector I Opened National Seminar of Faculty of Marine Science and Fisheries
The Vice Rector I Udayana University, Prof. Dr. Drh. I Made Damriyasa, MS, opened officially national seminar of Faculty of Marine Science and Fisheries on Saturday, Oct 8th, 2016. He was as a representative of rector Udayana University. In his speech, he stated that the theme of this seminar was interesting. It had deep meaning because it was about ethics in the society.
“We have to think that nature and human are equal or nature is more equal than human, so that we have to know how we should make the best use of natural resources.”
He also stated that Faculty of Marine Science and Fisheries will be one of the best faculties at Udayana University.
“Udayana has a plan that there are three best faculties, namely Faculty of Marine Science and Fisheries, Faculty of Tourism, and Faculty of Arts.”
Furthermore, he stated that the ways to make Udayana University become World Class University. One of the ways is by increasing accreditation status from B to A. In order to achieve it, we have to follow the development of information technology. IMISSU system, developed by university, is as support system to help achieve World Class University and better than system developed by the Indonesian Ministry of Education Directorate General of Higher Education or called DIKTI according to professional staff.
“According to professional staff of the Indonesian Ministry of Education Directorate General of Higher Education, this integrated system, IMISSU, has better system than DIKTI.”
He opened the seminar symbolically with beating the gong and the participants had given a round of applause. (manik)
