Udayana University Holds Planning and Development Conference for Fiscal Year 2026
Denpasar - Udayana University (Unud) held a Planning and Development Deliberation (Musrenbang) for the 2026 Fiscal Year which took place in a hybrid manner at the Hall of the BH Building, Faculty of Economics and Business, Sudirman Campus, Denpasar, Monday (21/4/2025). This Musrenbang also presented speakers, namely the Expert Staff of the Rector for Institutional Development.
Head of Planning and Finance Bureau, Udayana University Drs. I Komang Teken in his report said that this activity was attended by around 247 participants, where those who were invited to attend in person were unit leaders totaling 93 people and some were also invited to attend online. The purpose of this Musrenbang is to align perceptions about the direction of development and development of Unud in the future, especially in the 2026 budget year.
Then the realization of a clear and measurable direction regarding the target achievements of development and development of Unud so that in this activity the Rector will convey the policy direction to all unit leaders referring to the Udayana University Renstra for 2025-2029 and also based on the performance agreement with the Ministry of Education and Technology and the performance contract with the Ministry of Finance.
The central government has implemented policies related to budget efficiency, therefore in this Musrenbang, especially in the context of preparing the 2026 budget work plan, performance-based budgeting will be developed. As a follow-up to this university-level Musrenbang, a faculty-level Musrenbang will be held and after that the unit leaders will prepare a budget work plan, the results of which are inputted into SILUNA which will be continued with discussions with the planning team.
Meanwhile, the Rector of Unud, Prof. I Ketut Sudarsana, in his direction, said that we must reflect on the performance achievements in 2024 where there are still several targets that have not been achieved and this year's achievements will also be monitored. Indeed, there has been no signing of a performance contract with the Ministry, but there is a circular that the target is in accordance with the previous year. The Rector also explained the current conditions at Unud and also the internationalization process and the ranking trend of Udayana University.
These points are a reference that must be improved in 2026, what needs to be done in each unit and programs that are designed together to improve this. In addition, the challenges that exist in the future must also be mitigated. The Rector also explained that there are five priority development programs, namely (1) improving international academic reputation, (2) strengthening planning, financial, and facility management, (3) strengthening optimization and human resources, (4) strengthening research, innovation and downstreaming, (5) increasing cooperation and Revenue Generating.
The Speaker from Expert Staff of the Rector for Institutional Development Prof. Made Sucipta in his material said that his party and the team had tried to compile a flow from a smallest unit to achieve the desired target, namely the target that we want to achieve at the university level.
At the end of the Musrenbang, the signing of the 2025 Fiscal Year Performance Agreement was carried out between the Rector and the Deans and Directors of Postgraduate Studies.
