Carrying the theme "Dharma Kala Cipta", FPMHD Udayana University holds Dharma Santi Penyepian XIV Caka Warsa 1947

Denpasar - The Hindu Dharma Student Brotherhood Forum (FPMHD) of Udayana University (Unud) held the Dharma Santi Penyepian XIV Caka Warsa 1947 with the theme Dharma Kala Cipta at the Nusantara Room, Agrokompleks Building, Sudirman Campus, Denpasar, April 5-6, 2025. This activity was opened directly by the Rector of Unud and was also attended by the Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Unud, Vice Rector of ISI Denpasar, Representative of the Bali Provincial Education and Culture Office, Advisor to FPMHD Unud and other invitees. Dharma Santi is a series of Nyepi celebrations which is a momentum to improve harmonious relations between fellow Hindus in Bali.

The Chairperson of the Organizing Committee, Ida Bagus Putu Sandhi Kusuma, in his report said that FPMHD Unud again held Dharma Santi Penyepian with the theme Dharma Kala Cipta, which means the implementation of dharma in a moment of time through creativity and work. This theme invites every individual to use their time to work and be creative, and to implement dharma values ​​in every aspect of life, especially through activities that can have a positive impact on themselves and others.

The forms of activities carried out are the Baligraphy Competition for Junior High School and Senior High School/Vocational High School Levels throughout Bali, the Condong Dance Competition for Junior High School and Senior High School/Vocational High School Levels throughout Bali, the Mesatua Competition for Junior High School and Senior High School/Vocational High School Levels throughout Bali, and the peak event of Dharma Santi Penyepian. Overall, this activity was attended by 115 participants with details of the Baligraphy competition as many as 35 participants, the Condong Dance competition as many as 35 participants and the Mesatua competition as many as 45 participants.

"Our hope for the future is that the Dharma Santi Penyepian activity will not only be an event to commemorate Nyepi, but will also be able to strengthen the values ​​of dharma in the lives of the younger generation of Hindus," he said.

FPMHD Unud Coordinator Komang Surya Anggreni said that this activity is one of the work programs of the Dharma Development Division of FPMHD Unud which is routinely carried out every year to commemorate Nyepi which is a momentum for the manifestation of harmonious relations between fellow Hindus in Bali in particular. The target of the Dharma Santi Penyepian XIV activity is junior high school, senior high school/vocational high school students throughout Bali who are participating in the competitions held from 9 regencies/cities in Bali. She expressed his gratitude to the participants who have participated in this activity and hopes that it can have a positive impact on all parties involved, both in increasing a sense of togetherness, creativity and the sustainability of cooperation between institutions.

FPMHD Unud Advisor I Putu Sudiarta, Ph.D in his speech conveyed a glimpse of the journey of FPMHD Unud which was established in 1992 and has existed until now. The implementation of Dharma Santi Penyepian is the 14th time, which shows that FPMHD is consistent in doing it. Through the competition activities held at Dharma Santi Penyepian, it certainly helps preserve Balinese culture. They also appreciate FPMHD for carrying out this positive activity.

Meanwhile, the Rector of Unud, Prof. I Ketut Sudarsana, in his speech expressed his appreciation to FPMHD Unud who consistently held this Dharma Santi activity. This activity should not be interpreted as just a ceremony but also as a space to hone feelings and unite spiritual spirits while improving harmonious relations between fellow Hindus in Bali. The competition activities carried out are not only about competition but also about preserving culture, spirituality and the spirit of togetherness.

"As the Rector, I believe that activities like this will enrich the color of the campus which not only studies academically but also the campus is also tasked with creating students who have character and have cultural insight and have an understanding of spiritual values," said the Rector of Unud.
