Denpasar - Located in the Nusantara Room, Agrokompleks Building, Sudirman Campus, Denpasar, on Thursday, 13 February 2025, the "Study in UK Expo, Networking and Collaboration Session 2025" activity was held. This activity was held in collaboration with the International Affairs Office (KUI) of Udayana University (Unud) with the Indonesia Britain Education Center (IBEC) by presenting representatives from 25 universities in England. IBEC itself is one of the Real British Specialists in Indonesia Official Representatives of TOP UK Universities.
KUI Unud Coordinator Senja Pratiwi, Ph.D said that this event was aimed at providing insight into the opportunities available for students who wish to continue their studies in England. This activity is not only to explore the academic excellence of educational institutions in the UK but also to gain a deeper understanding of the culture, career prospects and global connections when studying in the UK.
"Aside from academics, studying in the UK offers students a truly international experience. The diverse environment, world-class facilities and access to global professional networks make the UK an ideal destination for higher education," she said.
Apart from both exhibitions from 25 universities in England, this activity also included three seminar sessions with various topics, namely how to get an LoA from a Top University, Tourism Degree and future careers, as well as Aquaculture Studies in Stirling. In this activity students can also interact with representatives from universities in the UK.
IBEC Director Satyadhi Hendra in his speech said that his party believes that through the several activities that have been carried out, many opportunities have been obtained from colleagues at Udayana University to develop cooperation and good relations with each university that attended this activity. Almost all universities in England were present at this Expo. He hopes that through this activity students will get opportunities and information directly from university delegates from England.
Meanwhile, the Rector of Unud, Prof. I Ketut Sudarsana in his speech, expressed his gratitude to the representatives of universities in England who were present at Udayana University to share information with the academic community of Unud and other universities who were also present, especially regarding education and scholarships in England. This activity is also an important part of Udayana University's journey towards internationalization and becoming a World Class University.
"Hosting the UK Education & Academic Networking activity is also one of our ways to make Udayana University gain more recognition internationally, especially in the UK," said the Rector.
The Rector further said that there is a long history of educational cooperation between Indonesia and the UK. England is also the home of the world's top universities and several of them were present at this activity. Through this activity, the party wants to provide more opportunities for the younger generation, especially those in Bali, to study in England. Apart from that, this activity can also strengthen cooperation between Unud and universities in England, where the potential and opportunities exist in this activity and we need to build networks and relationships that will help realize these opportunities.
