Udayana University Establishes Collaboration with GLS University India, Participating in Activities of the 27th International Conference on Excellence in Higher Education

Rector of Udayana University (Unud) Prof. I Ketut Sudarsana, Ph.D gave a speech at the 27th International Conference on Excellence in Higher Education: Leading with Vision and Impact which took place on Friday (7/2/2025). This event was held at the Widyasabha Mandala Auditorium, Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University, Denpasar.

In his speech, the Rector said that Udayana University is always committed to improving the quality of higher education by prioritizing innovation, research and extensive collaboration. The role of higher education is very crucial in equipping students with relevant competencies and leadership values ​​that can bring positive changes in the future in the era of globalization and industrial revolution 4.0 in facing rapid changes in technology, thought patterns and industrial needs that require graduates with adaptive and innovative skills.

He also said that this conference is a very important forum for everyone to share ideas, experiences and research results that can enrich our insight in developing a better higher education system. By presenting innovative thoughts and oriented towards real impact, we can create an academic ecosystem that is more adaptive, inclusive and competitive at the global level. Apart from that, this conference is also a momentum to strengthen collaboration between universities, both at the national and international level, in order to achieve the common goal of improving the quality of education.

On the same occasion, Udayana University also established international collaboration with GLS University, Ahmedabad, India. This collaboration was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) by the Rector of Unud and accompanied by the Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information, Prof. I Putu Gede Adiatmika with the President of GLS University, Ahmedabad India, Shri Sudhir Nanavati. This MoU aims to strengthen academic collaboration, student and lecturer exchanges, and joint research that can provide benefits for both universities.

The Rector of Udayana University said that this collaboration was a strategic step in expanding international networks and improving the quality of education at Unud. With this conference and signing of cooperation, Udayana University is increasingly demonstrating its commitment to improving higher education standards and strengthening its role on the global stage.
