Open Plenary Meeting to Determine Elected Candidates for Governor and Vice Governor of Bali, KPU Gives Awards to Relevant Stakeholders, Udayana University is One of them
Badung - Rector of Udayana University (Unud) Prof. I Ketut Sudarsana attended the Open Plenary Meeting to Determine the Candidate Pair for Elected Governor and Vice Governor of Bali Province in 2024 which was held by the General Election Commission (KPU) of Bali Province at The Trans Resort Bali, Thursday (9/1/2025). This activity was attended by Candidate Pairs along with supporting parties, Forkopinda, University Leaders and other invitees.
The meeting was opened by the Chairman of the Bali Province KPU, I Dewa Agung Gede Lidartawan, who continued with the reading of the Plenary Meeting Rules and Mechanisms as well as the Minutes and Decree of the Bali KPU regarding the Determination of the Candidate Pair for Governor and Vice Governor Elected for the Province of Bali in 2024.
Wayan Koster and I Nyoman Giri Prasta as the elected candidate pair for Governor and Deputy Governor in their speech expressed "Matur Suksma" and the highest appreciation to all Balinese people who have exercised their right to vote, the KPU, Bawaslu and all parties involved so that the Pilkada ran safely, smooth and successful. His party is fully committed to carrying out the trust and trust of the Balinese people.
The Chairperson of the Bali KPU also expressed similar sentiments, who also expressed his thanks to all related parties for obtaining the best possible results and apologized for any shortcomings that occurred. He also said that this plenary meeting will also be held simultaneously throughout Bali and tomorrow, as planned, all KPUs in Bali will write to their respective DPRDs regarding the results for the next process, namely the inauguration and marking the end of the process at the KPU. The authority for the inauguration process lies with the DPRD and the Ministry of Home Affairs.
At this plenary meeting, awards were also presented to relevant stakeholders by the Chairman of the Bali KPU, including to universities, one of which was Udayana University which had participated in making the Bali Regional Election a success.
