Opening New Collaboration Opportunities, Udayana University Collaborates with Shenzhen University China
Jimbaran - Udayana University (Unud) began collaboration with Shenzhen University, China, which was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Bahasa Room of the Jimbaran Campus Rectorate Building, Wednesday (18/12/2024). This signing was attended by the Rector of Unud, Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Humanities, Coordinator of the International Affairs Office and Representatives of the Faculty of Engineering and the Tourism Confucius Institute.
Meanwhile, the Vice President, Mr. Zhou Hui, Executive Director of the School of Medicine, Executive Dean of the College of Civil and Transportation Engineering, Dean of the College of International Exchange and Staff of the Graduate School.
So far, Udayana University has collaborated with institutions in China including Confucius Institute Headquarters, Nanchang Normal University, Nanchang University, Zhenjiang Yuexiu University, Southeast Asia Designer Alliances, Beijing University, the Health and Medical Exchange Cooperation Committee of China-Asia Economic Development Association , Jiangxi Science and Technology Normal University, and Tsinghua University School of Architecture, Beijing.
Rector of Unud Prof. I Ketut Sudarsana said that the signing of this MoU marks cooperation with Shenzhen University and is committed to advancing cooperation in the fields of academics, research and cultural exchange which of course is expected to benefit both universities, especially in the fields of education, research and innovation. In the academic field, it is hoped that the Parties can carry out student exchanges which will enable the exchange of academic knowledge and world exchange.
In addition, it is hoped that through research collaboration the parties can initiate research within the framework of addressing urgent global problems. Another program that can also be considered is the Dual Degree Program, which provides students with the opportunity to obtain degrees from both universities, and is not limited to exchanging information through collaboration in the library sector which has publication materials and other academic assets.
"This MoU with Shenzhen University is a further step in strengthening Udayana University's cooperative relations with various institutions in China. We are confident that through collaboration with Shenzhen University, as well as other partners in China, we can improve the educational and research experience for our academic community, said the Rector.
It was further stated that there is potential for collaboration with several faculties including the Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Tourism, Faculty of Cultural Sciences and also with the Tourism Confucius Institute Unud. It is hoped that these faculties will be able to become a bridge in carrying out technical cooperation in accordance with the fields agreed upon by the two institutions.
