The National Festival was held at Udayana University (Unud) Bali with the theme "The Enchantment of the Land of the Gods, Inspiration for Harmony of the Archipelago", Saturday (14/12/2024). This festival aims to strengthen awareness of the values of Pancasila as an ideology and national identity, especially among the younger generation, and to make the campus a strategic institution capable of activating this awareness.
Apart from that, this activity is also designed to celebrate Indonesia's cultural diversity through a series of events involving various elements of society, from the academic community, musicians, artists, cultural figures, academics to the general public. There are various forms of activities that prioritize creativity, innovation and collaboration that will be held at this Festival, namely, National Dialogue, Innovation Exhibition & Pop Art Market, Short Video Competition, Music Coaching Clinic and Short Video Making and National Music Concert.
Starting the series of National Festivals, a National Dialogue was held at the Widya Sabha Auditorium, Udayana University, Jimbaran Campus. Rector of Unud Prof. I Ketut Sudarsana said that this National Festival has an important mission, namely strengthening awareness of the values of Pancasila as an ideology and national identity, especially among the younger generation. We are all aware that there is a cultural gap between generations, which often becomes a challenge in communication and understanding between generations. Therefore, it is hoped that the National Festival can be a bridge to minimize this gap through methods, formats and languages that are relevant to each generation.
"As the host, Udayana University feels proud to be part of a national movement which has a noble goal, namely to revive the spirit of nationalism and patriotism," said the Rector of Unud.
Through this dialogue, the Rector of Unud hopes that all participants, especially students, can be inspired to love their homeland more, understand national identity, and become agents of positive change. We need a young generation who has a spirit of innovation as well as a moral responsibility to maintain the integrity of the nation amidst globalization.
Apart from the National Dialogue at the same time, there was also an Innovation Exhibition & Pop Art Market in the parking area west of the Widya Sabha Auditorium Building and a Music Coaching Clinic with speakers from Indonesian Drummer and Musician, Gilang Ramadhan, at the Lecture Building.
