LPPM Udayana University Provides General and Special Provisions for 446 Real Work Study Students
Jimbaran - The Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) of Udayana University (Unud) is carrying out General Debriefing and Special Debriefing for Real Work Lectures (KKN) Community Empowerment Learning (PPM) Period XXX 2025 at the Widya Sabha Auditorium Building, Jimbaran Campus, Wednesday (11/12/2024). In this period, 446 students took part in KKN in 26 villages around Bangli Regency.
This briefing presented three speakers, namely the Head of the Department of Community and Village Empowerment, Population Control and Family Planning, Bangli Regency, I Dewa Agung Putu Purnama, SSTP, M.I.Kom and internal resource person Dr. Ir. I Ketut Mangku Budiasa, M.Si and Dr. Dr. Kadek Swastika, M. Kes. Also present at the briefing event were the LPPM Secretary, Faculty Leaders, District Coordinators, Field Supervisors and other guests.
Real Work Study is one of the study activities, an extracurricular activity, with a weight of 3 credits which must be taken by undergraduate students at Udayana University.
Chairman of LPPM Unud Prof. I Nyoman Suarsana in his report said that KKN registration was open from 1 to 24 November, but there were still students who registered late. Previously, location selection had been carried out and currently KKN training was being carried out and on November 14 there would be an exam. After debriefing until January 9 2025, students will carry out observations and socialization in the village to identify problems and analyze the village's potential to be used as an activity program while in the village.
To strengthen this, the party also invited resource persons from the Head of the Department of Community and Village Empowerment, Population Control and Family Planning, Bangli Regency, who of course knows the potential of the Village in general. The release of KKN students to the village will be held on January 10 2025 and students will be in the village from January 12 to February 24 2025.
The number of KKN students is 446 students from 13 faculties and involves 26 field supervisors. Apart from the village potential, this briefing also provided material regarding the philosophy of KKN, how to create programs and social ethics in the village.
Meanwhile, the Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Dr. Gusti Ngurah Alit Susanta Wirya in his direction representing the Rector of Unud conveyed that the implementation of KKN was interdisciplinary in nature as a form of higher education service to the community carried out by the Tridharma of Higher Education with the method of providing students with learning and work experiences in community empowerment activities. This time, Unud KKN activities must respond to current developments in globalization, be able to provide solutions to problems in society, and be able to improve the quality of life of the people of Bali in particular and Indonesia in general.
"Of course we hope that the students who will be deployed later after this training will make a real contribution in empowering village communities in Bangli such as the development of Tourism Villages, Pokdarwis, MSMEs, Education, Health, Village Development Masterplans, Village ICT, and many others," said the Vice Rector.
He hopes that today's briefing activity can really be used to provide provisions to students participating in the KKN PPM so that when they arrive at the KKN location or in the village they can become agents of change in society and become role models. The Vice Rector also hopes that students will be able to show Unud's superior, independent, cultural identity, show capacity with good social ethics when present in society and maintain integrity, morality and capacity in society.
