Udayana University Extends Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sam Ratulangi University

Denpasar - Udayana University (Unud) has again extended its collaboration with Sam Ratulangi University (Unsrat), Manado, which was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) by the Rector of Unud and the Rector of Unsrat at the Postgraduate Building, Sudirman Campus, Denpasar, Thursday (5/12/2024 ). The signing event was also attended by the Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information of Unud, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Dean of the Faculty of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, and Representatives of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences.

Rector of Unud Prof. I Ketut Sudarsana in his speech said that the collaboration between Unud and Unsrat had been going on for quite a long time and was going well. It is hoped that this collaboration can be expanded and improved in the future based on the regional similarities of each institution. There are several research activities that have been carried out, as well as collaboration in the field of student development and also postgraduate programs.

It is hoped that more cooperation can be implemented by the two institutions, especially in the field of the Tridharma of Higher Education. This MoU will cover cooperation between both parties and can expand cooperation through more specific cooperation agreements. Through this opportunity, the Rector also introduced a glimpse of the profile of Udayana University.

Meanwhile, Rector of Unsrat Prof. Oktovian Berty Alexander Sompie in his speech said that his party had visited Udayana University several times and hopefully this collaboration could be developed, one of which would be in the tourism sector. Collaboration between the two institutions has been well established where several Unsrat lecturers are alumni of Udayana University. This good relationship continues to be developed through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding which is followed by the signing of cooperation by the Faculty of Engineering and does not rule out the possibility with other faculties.

At Unsrat there are 11 faculties and 1 postgraduate program, so the scope of the memorandum of understanding includes the Tridharma of Higher Education through activities for conducting research and collaboration, research and human resource development, organizing scientific activities, seminars and workshops. Through this opportunity, the Rector of Unsrat also invited the Rector of Unud and his staff to visit Sam Ratulangi University.

After signing the MoU, the Rector of Unsrat also had the opportunity to give a public lecture at the Unud Civil Engineering Study Program.
