Career and Alumni Development Unit Holds Udayana Career Days 2024, Presenting 24 Companies

Udayana University (Unud) through the Career and Alumni Development Unit (UPKA) is holding Udayana Career Days (UCD) 2024, located in the Nusantara Hall, Agrokomplek Building, Unud Sudirman Campus, Denpasar, Wednesday 18 September 2024. Udayana Career Days will be held for two days from the 18th -19 September 2024 and officially opened by the Head of the Unud Student Affairs Bureau Drs. I Ketut Kartika which was marked by beating the gong.

Chairman of UPKA Unud Dr. Kadek Dwita Apriani, S.Sos., M.I.P in his report said that the aim of holding this activity is to connect the world of higher education and the world of industry and carry out the function of higher education institutions which are present in society to support development from the employment aspect, especially to inform about job opportunities , because this event is not exclusively intended for the Udayana University Academic Community but is also intended for the general public.

This year's Udayana Career Days is a series of Unud's 62nd Anniversary events. The number of companies participating and recruiting at the UCD exhibition this time is 24 companies. For 3 consecutive years the UCD has been held, this year is the implementation involving the largest number of companies.

On previous occasions the average number of participating companies was a dozen companies, but this time we succeeded in inviting as many as 24 companies. Apart from that, on this occasion there were more than 200 job vacancies offered at Udayana Career Days. The number of participants targeted this time is 1,500 people, the majority of whom are alumni of Udayana University, apart from that there are also general participants who are graduates from other universities in Bali and outside Bali. It is hoped that all stakeholders involved in this activity will obtain maximum benefits and hopefully UCD 2024 will be a good start for all parties involved.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Unud Student Affairs Bureau, Drs. I Ketut Kartika said that the Udayana Career Days activity is an annual routine program carried out at Udayana University. There are several points that are the reason for implementing Udayana Career Days, namely connecting the world of education with the world of industry, the second which is no less important for Udayana University is the chancellor's work contract with the ministry which is used to increase the KPI 1 at Udayana University, especially the issue of tracer study, and the third is to introduce alumni and the community to opportunities and platforms like this that can be utilized as well as possible.

The Head of the Bureau hopes that with the presence of these 24 companies, it is hoped that graduates and the people of Bali can make the best use of this opportunity. In this case, the Career and Alumni Development Unit provides a bridge for Udayana University graduates to get jobs as soon as possible, one way is through Udayana Career Days activities.

"Apart from that, this activity is not only for job seekers, for students who have just graduated and need professional certification before entering the world of work.
