Udayana University Collaborates with ICLRS Bringham Young University USA

Udayana University (Unud) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the International Center for Law and Religion Studies (ICLRS), Bringham Young University, USA on Wednesday (18/9/2024) at the Widya Sabha Mandala Hall, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, University Udayana.

On this occasion, the Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information, Prof. I Putu Gede Adiatmika, welcomed this collaboration initiated by the Faculty of Humanities and hoped that it would provide mutual benefits for both institutions.

Through collaboration between Udayana University and ICLRS, it is hoped that it will open up opportunities for exchanges in the academic field, joint research, and various other scientific activities that can increase understanding of law and religion in an international context.

Prof. Brett G. Scharffs, as Director of the International Center for Law and Religion Studies, Brigham Young University, said that this collaboration focuses on academic and exchange activities, especially in the academic and exchange fields, including emphasizing the value of cross-cultural exchange and joint learning to enrich the concept of Human Dignity.

The signing activity was also coupled with a Seminar on Hindu-Balinese Perspective on Human Dignity and Freedom of Reliance and Belief. There were two speakers who were competent in their fields, namely Prof. I Ketut Ardhana from the Faculty of Humanities who is an academic who is widely known for his in-depth research and teaching on Balinese culture and history and the second speaker was A.A. Putu Agung Suryawan Wiranatha from the Faculty of Agricultural Technology who has a strong background in the field of agricultural technology.
