Udayana University Together with PT. Jasa Raharja Driving Safety Socialization in Collaboration with Astra Motor Bali

As a form of follow-up with PT. Jasa Raharja, Udayana University (Unud) held a driving safety outreach in collaboration with Astra Motor Bali. This event was also supported by the Subdirectorate of Law Enforcement (Subditgakkum) of the Traffic Directorate (Ditlantas) of the Bali Police with the theme Proud to be the #Cari_Aman Generation.

This seminar was attended by hundreds of students who were enthusiastic as traffic safety pioneers in upholding the #Cari_Safe campaign. This event took place at the Postgraduate Building at Udayana University on Friday, September 20 2024.

This activity was opened by the Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information, Prof. I Putu Gede Adiatmika. In his speech he expressed his gratitude to those who observe driving safety who are willing to share their knowledge about safe riding. Prof. Adiatmika emphasized the important role of young people, who are known for their high enthusiasm, in this collaboration. It is hoped that it can increase students' awareness of the importance of traffic safety and encourage them to play an active role in creating a safe and responsible driving culture.

This outreach was held as a preventive effort to reduce the number of traffic accidents, especially among the younger generation. Astra Motor Bali, through the safety riding team, provides education regarding the importance of obeying traffic rules and safe driving techniques. This team also demonstrated the correct way to ride, from using a standard helmet to maintaining a safe distance on the road.

Representatives from the Bali Police Traffic Directorate presented various data that attracted attention regarding traffic accidents in Bali, especially those involving the younger generation. Therefore, this activity is very crucial in efforts to reduce the number of accidents and increase awareness of the importance of driving safety among the younger generation.  

Students who take part in the seminar are not only given theoretical material, but also simulations and practice regarding safe driving techniques, as well as knowledge about vehicle maintenance to keep it in top condition on the road.

Representatives from PT Jasa Raharja Bali emphasized the importance of insurance protection for motor vehicle users, explaining the benefits and protection that can be obtained.

Meanwhile, Subditgakkum Ditlantas Bali Police provided material regarding legal aspects and highlighted the importance of traffic discipline. These two materials aim to create higher awareness of safety and comfort on the road. With a deeper understanding of insurance and traffic laws, it is hoped that participants will be more responsible and alert when driving.

This socialization event was attended by hundreds of Udayana University students who looked enthusiastic, so it is hoped that this activity will be able to have a positive impact on student driving behavior, as well as supporting the government's efforts to reduce the number of traffic accidents.
