Faculty of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, Udayana University, Together with Rostock University and Hindu University of Indonesia, Holds an International Workshop and Conference on Fish Parasites

Bukit Jimbaran - The Faculty of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, Udayana University (Unud) is holding an international workshop and conference with the theme "Third International Workshop and Conference on Marine Fish Parasites in Bali, Indonesia" starting on 16 September - 24 September 2024 which was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Prof. Dr. Ir. I Wayan Nuarsa, M.Sc. Monday (16/9/2024) at the Batur Hall, Samudra Building, Floor 4.

This activity was attended by 11 international participants and 5 national participants from various institutions and countries. This activity is expected to strengthen cooperation between the Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Faculty of Unud and Rostock University, Germany in developing research related to parasites in fish. The workshop activities were carried out at the Marine and Fisheries Laboratory, Faculty of Marine and Fisheries, Baruna Building, Floor 1 on 16, 17, 18, 19 and 23 September 2024.

The activity then continued with a Field Trip activity to the eastern part of Bali with the destination of Goa Lawah, Bukit Cinta, Tirta Gangga and visiting Salt Ponds in the Kusamba area, Klungkung on Friday (20/9/2024) which was also attended by several lecturers, staff and student at the Faculty of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, Udayana University.

The activities were then continued with a conference at the Indonesian Hindu University which was opened by Prof. Dr. drh. I Made Damriyasa, M.S. as a Rector of the Indonesian Hindu University on Saturday (21/9/2024). He said that the implementation of this activity could strengthen relations between Udayana University, Rostock University and Indonesian Hindu University.

On Monday (23/9/2024) a closing ceremony was held which closed with an initial speech by Prof. Dr. rer. Nat. Habil. Harry w Palm, who is also a member of the Udayana University International Cooperation Association, gave his impressions and messages regarding the implementation of this activity which was simultaneously held as a series of the 62nd Anniversary of Udayana University.

This was followed by remarks from the Dean of the Faculty of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries and continued with the presentation of plaques and certificates by the Dean of the Faculty of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries to all participants, speakers and chief organizers of the activity (Endang Wulandari Suryaningtyas, S.Pi., M.Sc.). The activity ended by taking a group photo with participants, lecturers, students and the committee.
