Physics and Technology of Advanced Materials Lecture Workshop Held at Udayana University

Denpasar - Udayana University (Unud) is the venue for the Physics and Technology of Advanced Materials Lecture Workshop which is a series of the International Conference on Physics and Technology of Advanced Materials (ICPTAM) which is coupled with the 8th Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Symposium (NNS) & Workshop 2024 in 7-10 October 2024 in Bali.

This hybrid workshop took place in the Hall of the Unud Postgraduate Building, Sudirman Campus, Denpasar, Monday (7/10/2024). The implementation of this workshop is a collaboration between the Bandung Institute of Technology and Udayana University through the Electrical Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering.

The workshop, which was opened by the Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information on behalf of the Rector of Udayana University, presented four speakers, namely Prof. Andrivo Rusydi from the National University of Singapore, Dr. Muhamad Reza Director of PLN Nusantara Power, PLN Institute of Technology, Fatih Khusno Satrio, S.Si., M.Si from Nexus Analytics, and Tria Hikma Novita, S.Si., M.Si Technical Specialist HORIBA.

Chief Executive Prof. Yudi Darma from the Bandung Institute of Technology in his speech said that the theme of this workshop was "Advanced Materials for Future Technology" which is an appropriate and important topic considering that the future of technology, whether in the fields of energy, electronics, health care or manufacturing, depends on the development of materials that can outperform what is currently known. These Advanced Materials hold the key to overcoming the limitations of today's technologies and creating solutions to some of the most pressing global challenges, including energy sustainability, environmental protection, and the development of next-generation devices.

This workshop discusses three important pillars in the future, namely Quantum Physics, Advanced Materials for Energy and Tools for Characterization Methods. He encouraged all participants to share their insights because this workshop is not only for learning from experts but also for exchanging knowledge and ideas in a collaborative atmosphere.

“As we explore how advanced materials can truly change the future of technology. The innovations we discuss here may one day shape the world we live in, and I'm excited to see what ideas will emerge from today's session," he said.

Meanwhile the Vice Rector Prof. I Putu Gede Adiatmika in his speech said that this workshop brought together some of the brightest thinkers in the fields of physics and advanced materials technology. This workshop as part of the ICPTAM 2024 conference provides a unique platform to share and explore pioneering research, new technologies and innovative solutions that have the potential to transform industries and improve lives. The topics presented will explore the important role that advanced materials play in shaping the future of sustainable technology, energy solutions, and more.

Through this opportunity, the Vice Rector also expressed his appreciation for involving the Udayana University Electrical Engineering Study Program in the collaboration that has existed between the Bandung Institute of Technology and the National University of Singapore, PLN, and the industries involved in organizing this workshop. The field of advanced materials has extraordinary potential, from the development of smarter and more efficient energy systems, to breakthroughs in nanotechnology, biomedicine and environmental sustainability.

These innovations will drive progress and address some of today's most pressing challenges, including climate change, resource scarcity, and technological limitations. He believes that through collaboration and the ideas shared at this workshop will undoubtedly pave the way for progress in the future.
