Udayana University's Tourism Confucius Institute (TCI) Takes Part in the 2024 World Chinese Language Conference in Beijing-China
The World Chinese Language Conference is a world-class conference attended by university leaders who have Confucius Institutes and Confucius Classrooms from the continents of Asia, Europe, America, Africa and Oceania. This year's conference activities will be held at the National Conventional Center in Beijing from 15 - 17 November 2024. The theme raised in this conference is interconnection Integration and inherited innovation.
This conference activity is held offline almost every year after the Covid-19 pandemic hit the world. The aim of this conference is to bring together university leaders who have Confucius Institutes and Confucius Classrooms from all over the world to exchange ideas and share information about the development and management of the Confucius Institute itself.
The Tourism Confucius Institute (TCI) of Udayana University (Unud) is one of the Confucius Institutes from the Asian region which also took part in the conference. The delegation from TCI Udayana University was attended directly by the Rector of Udayana University Prof. I Ketut Sudarsana, Vice Rector for planning, cooperation and information at Udayana University Prof. I Putu Gede Adiatmika and Director of Indonesia TCI Udayana University Dr. I Made Sendra, Director of China TCI Udayana University Prof. Tao Xianguang, as well as assistant director of the Confucius Institute, Udayana University, Dr. I Gusti Ngurah Widyatmaja.
The Rector of Udayana University on the sidelines of the conference said that China is a large country with very rapid progress in science and technology. This is certainly an important opportunity and opportunity to explore collaboration with various universities in China. Apart from that, this conference is a medium for building international collaboration with various universities in the world.
"Considering that we at Udayana University already have a Tourism Confucius Institute, of course this institution is a window to open and build bridges by building wider collaboration with universities, especially in China," said the Rector.
Through this conference, various other meetings were also held to share and share information on how universities in China build networking with various universities in almost all over the world.
This conference meeting began with an opening ceremony which was attended directly by the Chairman of the Chinese International Education Foundation, high-ranking officials in the City of Beijing, as well as other important guests. After the opening event continued with a dinner inviting university leaders from all over the world, the second day continued with meetings with university leaders who have Confucius Institutes, and on the third day there was a panel session with a sharing session agenda represented by several Confucius Institutes from several countries.
