Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Udayana University Holds The 3rd Science and Technology International Conference 2024

The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (MIPA) Udayana University (Unud) held The 3rd Science and Technology International Conference (STIC) 2024 at the Postgraduate Hall, Unud Denpasar Campus, Wednesday (06/11/2024). This STIC will be held for two days until November 7 2024.

Chairman of the activities committee I Putu Tedy Indrayana, S.Pd., M.Sc. in his report stated that the theme raised in this year's STIC activities was Improving Community Welfare and Sustainability which is in line with the urgent challenges facing the world. This activity highlights the importance of science and technology in addressing important issues such as environmental sustainability, public health, and advances in information technology that focus on a better future.

STIC itself is an annual activity that aims to bring together researchers and practitioners from all over the world. Through this activity, participants can share ideas, present the latest discoveries, discuss emerging trends and the latest advances in science and technology. Apart from that, it can also establish relationships between academics, industry and research institutions.

Furthermore, the Chair of the Committee reported that this year's STIC presented 4 main speakers and 7 other speakers representing 8 countries on 4 continents.

Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Unud Prof. Ni Luh Watiniasih in her speech said that through this STIC activity it could be a source of ideas, concepts and innovative breakthroughs in the development of science and technology for the future. This activity is also expected to support the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to change the world for the better. "Let's expand our network and collaboration in the fields of research, academics and other academic-related fields through this activity," said the Dean.

Meanwhile, the Rector of Unud, who was represented on this occasion by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. I Gede Rai Maya Temaja in his speech said that STIC activities were an enhancement of the annual National Conference held by the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Udayana University. There is great hope that there will be good discussions between participants so that bright ideas can be used to improve the quality of human life and published in reputable journals.
