The Japanese Government Awarded The Order of the Rising Sun Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon to Prof. Dewa Ngurah Suprapta, Professor at the Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University
Denpasar - At the residence of the Japanese Consulate General in Denpasar, a ceremony was held to award The Order of the Rising Sun Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon from the Japanese Government to Prof. Dr. Ir. Dewa Ngurah Suprapta, M.Sc Professor at the Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University (Unud), Friday (15/11/2024). This award was handed over directly by the Japanese Consul General in Denpasar, Mr. MIYAKAWA Katsutoshi combined with Dinner.
Also present at this event were the Head of the Agriculture Service representing the Governor of Bali, Head of LLDikti Region 8, Vice Rector I and Vice Rector III of Unud, Chair of the Unud Senate, several Faculty Leaders, Postgraduate Directors, Heads of Institutions, KUI Coordinators, Colleagues and Family.
Consul General of Japan in Denpasar Mr. MIYAKAWA Katsutoshi in his speech as the Consulate General on behalf of the Japanese Government, congratulated Prof. Dewa Ngurah Suprapta.
In 1997, Prof. Dewa had received an award, then he created a Japanese-style laboratory. Aims at nature conservation and agricultural development. He is conducting research on environmentally friendly biopesticides. Paper written by Prof. Dewa is also of high quality, so they appreciate this. Prof. Dewa also proactively encourages student exchange efforts between Indonesia and Japan. Apart from that, it also actively contributes to efforts to improve cooperative relations between the two countries.
"I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere respect for his efforts over the years in maintaining good relations and actively contributing to the academic field of the two countries. I want to give high respect to Prof. Dewa Suprapta and family, I hope he will always be given good health," said the Consul General.
The Consul General really hopes that people like Prof. Dewa in the future.
Meanwhile Prof. Dewa Ngurah Suprapta in his speech expressed his thanks to the Consul General as well as his respect and gratitude to His Majesty the Emperor of Japan, the Minister of Education of Japan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan. His party is very proud to be able to receive this award in the form of a service star. Prof. Dewa believes that this award is a reminder that we all contribute to strengthening cooperation between the two countries.
The relationship between Japan and Indonesia is a bilateral relationship which is 66 years old this year. The relationship between these two countries is full of historical values and togetherness, mutual trust helps and benefits. This collaboration has had many positive impacts on Indonesia, infrastructure development, the economy and education through the provision of educational scholarships by the Ministry of Education of the Japanese Government.
Doing education in Japan increases academic communication with many parties in Japan. Through this collaboration, the party can exchange students and lecturers.
"I feel grateful to be able to study in Japan, to be able to interact with Japanese scientists, so that we can develop knowledge and academic opinions. This award is not only for me, but for all of us," he said.
